DO NOT BOOK. The place has bedbugs. You aren't given a key to lock your room, so anyone can go in there anytime you are gone and you wouldn't know- there is no storage for valuables. The owner follows you around and talks constantly. The one night I was there all of the guests were locked out of the whole building and someone had to jump the fence to try to get the owner so we could all be let in. The owner sent a list of additional policies that are not reflected on the listing that were strangely and aggressively worded to all of the guests the afternoon after I got there, using terms like "disobedience" and saying you couldn't come back and get your things if you didn't agree to the policies. I was already uncomfortable and didn't feel safe, but then I saw the other guest had bedbug all over her body from the bed or the couches and I decided to leave. The owner refused to give me a refund and would not respond to Expedia when they tried to contact him about this. The owner then accused me of stealing polaroid film (why would anyone do that?) after another guest used an instax camera he'd left out in the common area and appeared to be for guest's use. I also heard from other guests that he'd been screaming at a woman one of the days before I got there. This is not a safe place to stay.

Very affordable outside of San Juan
This is extremely affordable, but it's not for you if you need a luxury place. No air conditioning for example. But for me who just needed a place to sleep at night it was great. Nice mini fridge in room. Neighborhood fine, lockbox on gate so easy to come and go with code. Extra charge for late arrival. I'm a solo female, and it was fine.
