The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. However, there were several aspects of our stay that could have been much better.
The hallways and our room had a weird smell, and while the bedding seemed clean, it also had a strong “bleachy” odor. Worse, the duvet on our bed had what looked like a bloodstain. While the front desk replaced it promptly after I called, the experience was unsettling.
The room itself had no way to turn off the AC, so it was uncomfortably cold at times, which made it hard to relax.
Dining at the restaurant was also disappointing. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and the salmon I ordered was dry and unappetizing. On the bright side, the drinks at the bar were well-made and enjoyable.
Finally, I wasn’t a fan of the hotel’s policy requiring the use of a hotel fee/credit for the restaurant. It felt unnecessary and limiting.
Overall, while the staff and bar were highlights, the odd smells, cleanliness issue, and subpar dining experience left a lot to be desired.
