Beautifully handcrafted home, one and a half stories with large bedroom upstairs, open floor plan down stairs, 3 patios, one with an immaculate private hot tub. Located in the mountains southeast of Santa Fe, so quiet that all you hear are crickets, birds and an occasional coyote in the night. Five minute walk into the Santa Fe National Forest. Fully furnished and equipped home. 4WD is required during the winter months.
Make yourself comfortable in this vacation home, which features a fireplace. There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a DVD player is provided for your entertainment.

For a quiet retreat and a special 50th birthday trip, this home was absolutely perfect for our week of adventures—Tumble Root for music, hiking nearby, local cuisine, and gallery perusing. It was the ideal size for two people, offering both comfort and charm.Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast and coffee in the peaceful setting of the house, striking a great balance between cooking at "home" and exploring the delicious local cuisine. The location was exactly what we wanted—secluded and tranquil, yet close enough to everything Santa Fe has to offer.The home itself was uniquely decorated, embodying the artistic and cultural essence of Santa Fe. The hot tub was a dream—a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Great Get Away!!!!
This was our 25th wedding anniversary trip and this place will always be special to us! It was the perfect home, just right for 2 people! The location was quiet and looked very Santa Fe! The place we stayed was very clean which I loved! It was a unique neatly decorated home. Lovely places to sit out front and back. The hot tub was amazing! We hope to stay there again soon!

We had such a fantastic time at Dodie's place. It is so well designed, super clean and stocked with everything we needed. The furniture, the bed and the layout of the home is superb. Cozy Retreat Under the Stars
This is the perfect place to stay if you want to be out in nature but close to Santa Fe, NM. Dodie’s home is comfortable, well stocked with everything you need, and gives you privacy to completely relax while you’re there. Our host was very responsive when we had questions. Her place is beautiful with lots of flowers and hummingbirds in the yard. We enjoyed it!

This stay will stay with me for a long time. It was so lovely and restorative. My husband and I stayed- found our flow pretty quickly. Time out in back on the glider, on the glider out front. It was nice and cool in the morning and evening, good for hot tub and relaxing time outside, and comfortable temps inside all day/night. Hot water and pressure great for showers. Kitchen space great for meal prep. Sound of crickets at night with a big sky. So nice to be a little ways out of city center while at the same time close enough to visit there. Thank you, Dorothy.

Outstanding place and location!
Unique, charming and spacious. Well appointed kitchen. Hot tub was not only great but it’s located in a secluded spot in the backyard a little below the main patio area. Plenty of sky above for stargazing! Host, Dodie was attentive and friendly. Only a short distance to downtown Santa Fe, but all the charm of a country place. We would recommend this place to anyone!

Santa Fe Getaway
This home was amazing. Just outside Santa Fe but close enough to go into town whenever we wanted to do so. We found some local trails to hike and enjoyed incredible food and fun shopping. Dodie was the perfect host and we experienced no problems. Her home was just as described.

This was an excellent location to conclude our visit to New Mexico and Arizona. We had been on the road for about four days leading up to our stay and really needed a place to relax before we returned to Maine. This was the perfect location for that.

Dorothy was the perfect welcoming host. We felt very at home. Not your standard 4 plates, 4 cups and a salt and pepper shaker. You felt like you were staying with a friend. Even with the 10” of snow the area received before we arrived, the walks in front and in back including patio area were cleaned off. Hot tub was spotless. We enjoyed the sunny days and the starry nights. And the bird watching. Would definitely stay again!

Santa Fe retreat
We were lucky enough to stay in Dorothy’s charming retreat outside Santa Fe. Filled with lovely folk art, it has a wonderfully peaceful feeling. We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars. Close enough to Santa Fe to go for dinner or the sites but far enough away to be another world. Would recommend highly for a romantic relaxing stay.

The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The location was perfect for for getting to explore the local mountains. We hiked at holy ghost creek and the sante fe national forest near the ski slope. It was great to take a long soak in the hot tub after the long hike.

We LOVED staying here! The entire house is its own vibe! Seriously, we would live here if we could. Our favorite thing was the hot tub, which we were lucky enough to get to enjoy during the day since the weather turned chilly on us. Overall, the house is in a lovely location, and very relaxing! Wonderful
My husband and I have stayed at many places all over The country and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed. So quiet and tranquil, and the most stocked kitchen of any place I have ever seen for a rental, including coffee (French press) in the morning. Wonderful hot tub. You can tell that every corner was decorated with love. We will definitely stay here again.
