Very close to beach, shops and restaurants. Room booked had twin beds, private balcony looking down onto shops. Room basic, no phone, no tea making facilities, no mini bar or fridge.
Main entrance to hotel seems to be left permanently unlocked - we checked in in the early hours and had to summon someone to the reception desk. A surly young man called Alex that greeted us with "you're too early",demanded the "tourist tax" there and then, I explained that I had no currency and he grudgingly agreed I could pay it the next day. He then presented me with a form in Spanish,So I asked if he had it in English, he said he didn't and that it was police requirement that I sign it. I then insisted that he translate it for me - he then grabbed a drawerful of these completed forms to substantiate his request.
We were given our keys and directed to our room - no information was offered or provided about breakfast times or where it would be served.
