We were a couple who stayed for 1 week at the hotel.
Initially we were given a room, but had issues with the room, so the managers Borja and Jaime upgraded us to a lovely room, and made our stay really lovely and pleasant, regardless of the fact that the hotel was under full renovation. The room was very nice.We had our breakfast in the room (apart from the last day when it was in the hotel restaurant) due to the restaurant being renovated. It was nice, and I particularly liked the coffee very much, which was strong and nice. Breakfast was basic, due to the fact that this is an african island, and by the looks of it-food supply is difficult, but was fine.
The hotel is in the centre and close to the beach, which is very convenient.
We are very grateful to Borja for all the hard work and making our stay nice, as we wanted to have a nice Christmas holiday & no disappointments
Otherwise towels are changed every 2 days, and bed sheets every 3days-as this is a beach destination, we consider this a daily necessity.
The hotel is located in the centre of Santa Maria- best place to stay on the island. It is always very windy there. If you don't like wind- Bulgarian Black sea coast is for you then. Not recommending this destination for families with children as there is no variety of food unless you go all inclusive.
