I am not usually one for writing reviews of places, so I will keep this brief. The apartment was lovely - spacious, clean and well equipped, with plenty of local information on things to do and places to visit (we have supplemented some English versions of the information booklets as most were in French). The pool was a fabulous additional feature and the cover enabled us to make use of it when the weather was a little less clement (which wasn’t often). The Host was very helpful and supportive, easily contactable via Whatsapp or text message, but was happy to leave us to our own devices. There are many interesting towns and places to visits - we ran out of time so are planning to go back again soon. However I will make a couple of recommendations which I hope other visitors will find helpful. The best supermarket (and by best I mean the best one we have ever been to anywhere! We called it Supermarket Heaven) is the E.Leclerc just on the outskirts of St Pol de Leon. There is a really good theme park near to Brest called the Les Parc de 3 Curates (or something like that) - not quite Thorpe Park but plenty of rides for all ages and hardly any queues (and this was still in the school holidays) which was a real bonus. For places to eat out, we recommend Roscoff or St Pol de Leon, but it always advisable to book your table in advance as we say plenty being turned away when they turned up on spec. We had such a lovely time we are looking to take my mother back there soon!
