The apartment was dirty, unequipped and extremely noisy (as if there were no windows). We had a unique and unpleasant incident that has been terribly handled. We returned from a night out and the door to the apartment, which was operated by a code was not functioning. We contacted the receptionist, Viktor, who showed up after an hour. He had no idea how to handle the situation, and tried a "master code" which did not work. He then went through a series of keys, none of which functioned. After an hour of this, we were told that we would not be able to get into our room for the night. We were given another room to sleep in without any of our belongings. There were no apologies for the inconvenience. The next day, a locksmith showed up and replaced the lock with a manual lock, clearly recognizing the system was not practical. The situation worsened when we tried to check out during the normal working hours but Viktor was not there. After trying to contact him, he told us leave the key under the door. We were not given an opportunity to provide feedback and ask for a reimbursement in person. We tried to contact him after the fact, and were ignored. We then contacted hotels.com, who we had used to make the booking. After weeks of waiting for a reply from this hotel, they refused any reimbursement and maintained we were provided with great accommodations throughout. To our surprise, they claimed that the door had malfunctioned due to force. This was a lie and shameful.
