The hotel needs a complete update. The first room had humidity, mold, and a bad smell. In the second room, I paid an upgrade of $60 per day for a suite, but the air did not cool and made noise. I called the reception several times, but no one seemed to care. The suite room was also dirty, with mud and the walls splattered with something that looked like red soda. It was a disaster. I recommend paying more and choosing another hotel for your stay in Santo Domingo. After staying in this hotel for several years, I will not return.

The customer service at the front desk is terrible. Definetly not what me and my family are used to. Mostly all of the staff seems a lottle uptight. Very uncomfortable for my family. We have been to dozens of other hotels in the city of Santo Domingo and through out the country. And this was rhe worst experience. Would not recommend to any one. Look at other options.

We tried three rooms and all smelled like mold. The first room we got assigned, my husband opened the door and a cockroach feel from the ceiling and almost landed on him! Then went to a second room and it was just as dingy and dates as the first. I was going to check out and to some place else but the staff accommodated us in a room without nasty, old carpet so it was bearable. We only needed to sleep one night so we stayed. The room was nicer but smelled very strong like mold. This hotel needs some major renovations.
