We looked into this hotel as an option given the fact that Expedia site and the hotel website clearly stated that Children are welcome, refer to screenshot below. So we went ahead and booked it on March 13 2018 to stay there from July 06-09 2018. We booked a total of 4 rooms. The hotel sent a message on July 04 stating that we are welcomed and everything is in place. Then the hotel manager, Maria, sent us a message on July 05, the day before our check-in date, indicating that they can’t accommodate our son, of course after they have already charged the credit card. They have also indicated that they tried to contact us few times on the same day and of course we didn’t receive any calls from them.
With no advance notice, we were in Greece with no internet or working phone scrambling trying to figure out what to do. We spent the evening of July 05 talking to Expedia and the hotel for 3 hours+ but both were no help and Expedia indicated that the hotel will NOT issue a refund and that we can’t be relocated as the area is sold out. The hotel Owner, Pavi, and hotel manager, Maria, need some serious customer service training as they were very rude. I am sure there are many free videos on youtube on customer service improvements.
It was a nightmare... we ended up going to the hotel which finally agreed to give us a room but with restrictions on my son. We had 4 rooms booked and my son couldn’t go to the other rooms where the other family members were.
