Savannah friends trip

The property was as described in the listing, great location and very comfortable rooms. Our only problem was the elevator was not working the whole weekend and we had to carry heavy luggage up the steps. Also the the listing does not explain that the parking that is included is 15 mins away for the apartment, not sure how we would have used that, so we paid a daily rate at a place on the street. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great Location-Not Secure Stay

Property was well maintained and clean, however, on the final morning of our stay (before 7am), an unknown person with the keypad code, entered the unit unannounced. This is obviously a safety and privacy concern. I have brought this up to the property management team and despite following up on two separate occasions, have not received a resolution on the issue.

10 yr anniversary stay

This is a great location. Everything in walking distance. However, it is VERY noisy! The loud music and the laughter of everyone in the streets can EASILY be heard. We had no problem with it at all during the day, but be aware that on Friday and Saturday nights, the noise goes til 2am. There is a sound machine, however, it was really no help. A fan is provided, however, it does not work. Upon arrival, we attempted to enter our condo, however, the instructions we were given ahead of time did not work. Luckily, the answering service is very responsive and we only had to stand outside the entrance roughly 5minutes. Both bathrooms have pedestal sinks and no shelves, so no countertop space at all. Not a huge deal, rather just an annoyance. Bathrooms could also use some minor updates, painting, caulking, etc. Overall, I would recommend this property for individuals who enjoy the nightlife. I would not recommend for Families with small children or individuals who go to bed before 2am on a Friday or Saturday night.

Great Location!

Our stay was enjoyable and we loved the access we had to literally everything downtown Savannah!! The apartment was cute, cozy and tidy. We had everything we needed. I know there are other reviews about the noise, and while you can hear the street traffic, it didn’t bother us. We did use the sound machine in the front room. (Pro Tip: there's an actual shade that pulls down in the front room...I suggest using it bc those beautiful, tall windows let in lots of natural light...and well, we like to sleep lol). The beds aren't terrible...mostly comfortable, but both make noise with the slightest movement....for a lighter sleeper (not me, haha), it could keep them awake. Again, overall we loved this little place! Right in the heart of everything! We would 100% stay here again!!

Great place in the historic district

Really enjoyed the stay. Property was as described. Location was perfect. Walking distance to almost everything. It was a bit noisy in the area, As you would expect from a town with more bars and nightclubs than anywhere I’ve ever seen, but we still slept fine. Beautiful city, and a great experience. We will be back.

Wonderful stay

This apartment is very cute and very convenient to City Market and River Street. The only complaint we have is the noise level. The walls are thinner so we could hear neighboring units as if they were in ours and loud music being played outside at all hours of the day/night.

Great location

Although there was no parking directly in front of the condo, the parking garage was only about a block away and the condo provided a voucher for free parking. We never had to access our car during the 2-night stay because the condo is within walking distance of the river, restaurants, shops, etc.

Unbearable noise levels

Noise levels cannot be overstated. Loud revving engines and club thumping music from 9pm to 2-3am every single night. This should noted up front in bold on the listing. Den rug needs a deep clean, no way that’s been done in over a year. Checking in is quite a hassle if you have anything more than one bag per person.

Great location, but not a great experience

My wife and I stayed her for NYE with another couple. The other couple arrived around 7pm unable to get in. We had to call the management company and found that they had given us the wrong code. When they finally got the correct code, they opened the door to a filthy apartment. There was trash all over, the towels were in the bathtub, and the sheets on the bed were dirty. We called management again and they said they would send out a housekeeper. After about 2.5 hours the housekeeper showed up and cleaned the place. The management company said someone would follow up the next day but to the time of this review (5 days later) nobody called. The apartment itself is nice, but it’s very old. You can hear everything from inside the apartment, from other units, and from the streets. I don’t necessarily hold this against the apartment or the rating, but I wish there was mention of this. The hot water tank is pretty small, so with both showers going you get about 5-10 minutes of hot water. Several of the couch pillows had stains on them, and I don’t want to be too gross but it seemed like they were likely bodily fluids. We put them all in a corner for the weekend. Overall 2/5 due to the poor management and cleanliness of the property. It’s definitely a great location and if you don’t care about sanitation or loud noise all night you may have a more enjoyable stay than we did.

Your booking with Lucky Savannah NOT VRBO

Please be advised that Lucky Savannah has not been forthcoming with important information regarding Broughton Central. Upon arriving we were greeted with a building which could only be accessed via a gangplank bridge due to heavy construction being done on both sides of the building. Lucky Savannah should have notified us and left the decision to us if we wanted to rebook. This construction has been going on well before our cancelation deadline. Lucky Savannah also did not have the parking pass available nor did they have the bathroom sink working. Though they did manage to fix those problems they still have never apologized nor made any attempt to address the inconveniences that residing in a construction zone has caused. VRBO and any other guest planning a trip to this location should seriously consider rebooking to a different location.
