We liked that it had an elevator. However, we did not like a particular evening waiter with red hair and mustache. He needs more training. He brings one dish out to a table of 2 and the one person has to wait a good amount of time until the other meal is brought out.

Hotel was in best location to visit both the Neuschwanstein and the Hohenschwangau Castles. Town was best in the evenings after all the bus loads of tourist have left. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location! Close to everything…horse carriages are right across and bus is a 2 minute walk. Only thing that could be improved is the breakfast. Fruit was old and scrambled eggs and bacon were cold even though we showed up 10 minutes after breakfast started.

I was not happy Expedia did not pass on the information that I needed two beds. Apparently that is common for Expedia to not pass on all the information. However the girls at the desk were excellent and scrambled to change my room at no extra cost and the facilities clean the breakfast was good and it all turned out okay

Wonderful hotel very close to both sites. Quiets down after 5pm when all visitors depart. Good breakfast, and dinner. Only complaint are rooms are hot if weather is hot but fans kept it tolerable. Staff was excellent.

horrible experience for disabled folks
I have a German government-certified medical assistance dog. When booking my stay, I stated that I will be bringing my assistance dog in the reservation. At check out, the staff insisted on charging a pet fee; however, according to the hotels.com listing, service animals are exempt from pet fees. I showed them my government assistance dog ID, and they didn't even look at it and said that they don't accept foreign assistance dog IDs; the ID is from the German government. Then they told me to contact them again after my stay since they cannot delete the pet charge. A few days later, I reached out to the hotels.com help desk, and they helped me get in contact with the hotel. The hotel still insisted on charging the pet fee and claimed that I had never shown them proof of my assistance dog ID. Horrible experience for disabled people.

Ideally located in the heart of the castles, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Check in was easy and our room was small but adequate for our family. There is parking reserved for hotel guests. Breakfast is included and there is a restaurant on site.
