At 2:13 AM, someone walked into our room while we were sleeping. The guy walked into our room having a door key. My wife was screaming as I jumped up to confront the guy. He said “sorry, wrong room”. We were deeply frightened, felt unsafe and were not able to fall back asleep. This is inexcusable and we will never stay there again. My wife was traumatized.

This is a great hotel and good value for the cost. The rooms are very spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. The location is beautiful. The property is well-maintained. Food at the courtyard restaurant was excellent ( I had breakfast there.) However, there is much walking involved for rooms in both the tower and the lower-floor complex, so maybe not the best choice for those with trouble navigating. Staff is very friendly. The rooms are super-clean. The cookies offered on arrival are very good and very welcome. A great choice. The only downside for me is that the shuttle is sometimes hard to flag down at the airport. I have twice missed one, only to watch it drive by without me with me in pursuit. This requires a minimum additional 20-minute wait—very frustrating if you come in on a late flight. Morning shuttle is great. The drivers have always been very courteous, very helpful with luggage, etc., much appreciated. This is a great choice for anyone overnighting in Seattle, making connections at Sea-Tac. Would also be a great choice for those visiting Seattle for a longer stay.

This property is average at best. Its proximity to the airport, the free airport shuttle, friendly staff and room size are positives, but in general it is tired, uninspiring and needs updating. We chose a balcony room and the patio doors did not close fully or flush, meaning there was a constant draft and airport noise. The balcony also doesn’t offer any chairs. Bathrooms, room carpet and general room fittings could do with an upgrade.

I wasn’t a huge fan of how much of a labyrinth this building was, inside and parking wise. But that’s mostly on me for not looking the location up. However, the room was less than I expected for a DoubleTree. There was a cockroach in the bathroom, trash stuck to the sink, and pretty bad water damage around the A/C area. We had no fridge or microwave (which again I missed in my booking but that was me Assuming the rooms would have that because again, I’ve never had that issue at a doubletree before.) I likely won’t stay here again, especially not for $180 for less than bare amenities. The only true positive I have is that the staff were absolutely lovely with the couple interactions I had with them.

Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. It’s what we needed for one night before a trip. We were in. Building 5 next to the lake. Room smelled very musty, balcony was filthy and unusable. Bushes outside the room very overgrown. Sliding glass door hard to move. . I did like long-term parking while I was away on a trip, 24 hour shuttle to, and from the airport was perfect.

The only issue I have with this property is the long walk to the rooms if you are not in the main building, which is a problem now that we are older. It’s carpeted and rolling luggage is difficult. Otherwise we are happy to stay there.
