Found the hotel hard to find from St. Die as there were no road numbers on the road signs so had to stop and ask the way. This proved difficult as each person we asked had no idea how to get there by any of the particular roads on our road map. Eventually we were pointed in the right direction and by luck found the hotel. By this time it was getting quite late, although we arrived by 8pm, and found that the restaurant was shut so no dinner unless we wanted a 15 mins drive. The owner kindly showed us our room which overlooked the garden, It was small but adequate for a stopover. We paid extra for the breakfast which was good with lovely coffee and selaction of breads, fruit, cheeses, cereals and yoghurts.
