Great area but hotel is dated, paint chipping on door, bathroom fan not working, no remote for tv in room. The hall was extremely hot. Parking was an additional $15 a day. I did not see this during booking only became aware once we checked in so was shocked. We had 2 cars for 3 nights.
The hotel has some positives, location. Being downtown we were able to get to places without having to drive. Walk the pier/water.

I’ve always come back because it’s right on the waterfront
The first room they gave us was right next to the bar and then the second room they placed us in, the door locked us out and had to break the door open to get us in. They had to have a security guard to stay in front of our room because they did not have any rooms to place us in. Horrible experience and when we went to speak to a manager there wasn’t anyone there and have not called me yet.
The hotel room had a bad smell. Spider webs on the walls. Needs renovations. Not worth the amount we were charged. The hallway floors had ducts tapes to repair damages.Parking was extra. Parking lot attendant was very kind. Hotel staff did not care about customers complaints. Not impressed and wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there
Great location, right downtown on the lake. Lots to do within walking distance. Fair price, hallways and room carpets could be cleaner but overall good place to stay. Parking was complimentary a couple months ago but now $15/ night
Uncomfortable beds and security guys were very rude and racist staff was okay but security woke us up two time in middle of the night to ask if everything was okay
The hotel claims to not have a single parking spot for their guests. You are made to find a spot somewhere for yourself and at your own expense in one of the busiest locations. Staff are rude and dismissive and literally do not care. They refuse to provide a refund for not providing what we booked for. The A/C unit in our first room sounds like an airplane taking off carrying a bag of nails and literally could not sleep with the noise. The desk staff came to the room and told us it was just a fan noise. I demanded a new room which he told me was not available. I told him to call a manager and figure out either a different room or provide a full refund and miraculously a new room was free. So basically you were just lying through your teeth and thought that was acceptable. The 2nd room offered had a toilet that didn't work properly and sounded like the bathtub pipes were going to explode when trying to flush it. The rooms are dirty and the stairwell is atrocious. The hotel used to be a nice place to stay but is run down and filthy. Save yourself a huge headache and disappointment and spend a bit more to stay at The Pearl. At least there you will be treated far better.

So, at the price charged, I think adding $15.00 per day to park is ridiculous. Similarly the cheesy breakfast nook with plastic knives that are too flimsy to spread the butter. The desk chair in my room was badly worn and torn. The startling white caulking in the shower should be repaired properly. Perhaps instructions how to use the heat/cool system and the controller needs a battery. Staff should advise of the secret code for the internet access at check in instead of hoping visitors find it.
