Overall it was an amazing getaway near a wonderful lake. There was a jazz performance at the cafe/bar. It would have been nice if there was an English description about dinner plan on Expedia, because we didn't know we have to make a reservation beforehand if you wanted.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The cafe portion of the place is really nice and they've clearly put a lot of effort into making it homely and enjoyable. The owners Tetsuya and Yuri are super friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make things enjoyable.
Unfortunately, the room and other aspects of the accommodation we stayed in did not have the attention to detail as the cafe. 3 of our party were quite tall, and the beds were VERY uncomfortable, they were rickety and the pillows were flat and difficult to sleep on. The staircase to the loft where the beds are was also a safety hazard. 2 of our party left after a night because they had to sleep on the couch and the floor, as they could not fit on the beds, and only one futon was offered as an alternative until 10/11pm when the front desk was closed.
The booking of the shower/bath was OK, but not the cleanest space.
Another issue was location. It's 2.2kms to the closest bus stop and if you don't drive be prepared to walk that distance down the road to get around the area.
Overall while the area is beautiful, and the cafe was nice I'd suggest anyone taller than 6 foot and without a car find a different accommodation option.
