It has been our second time visiting Mercure. The rooms are clean and the bed is so comfortable. Staff are friendly and helful. Located so conveniently in the heart of Hongdae, you never run out of things to do. Highly recommend!

The hotel was near by the public met station , University Hongdae, and surrounded by lots of shopping, dining, cafe options but this is the ONLY good thing about this property. The hotel is old and have deficit around the sink area and lots of furnitures, depending on the room you get upon check-in. It is not up to a 4 star hotel standard, but if you don’t mind the above, its location is the best. Staffs are friendly.

There are better options.
Directions to the hotel are unclear as the hotel is around the block from the address. The room had a small card that said, Here’s a snack.” There was no snack. There was only one coffee pod, no creamer. The shower head leaked and sprayed everywhere. If you adjusted the temp too quickly the shower head would disengage. The room is fairly cramped. The thermostat didn’t do anything.

Bad service attitude from staffs. Caused a panic when our plush was missing when we came back to the room. The cleaning team brought our plush together with dirty linen back to their laundry room after they are done housekeeping.

In a good location, lots of local shopping and food places. A cheap taxi ride into central Seoul or the palaces if you didn't want to challenge the trains or buses.

Awesome property with fantastic location! Service was top notch while rooms were very modern. Upgrade to a room with balcony if your budget allows. Breakfast was nothing much to shout about though.
