This is a good location for getting the subway or the bus. It's an all women hostel. There is toast and eggs for you to enjoy as a light breakfast. They have 4 individual bathroom/shower room to share which was nice for privacy. They were well stocked with toiletries, towels, and hair dryer. I enjoyed my stay there.
Place was clean and relatively quiet. Daily provision of towels as well as shampoo and body wash satchels. To note that as the place is located on the fourth floor, those with heavy wheeled luggages might have some difficulties reaching the place as it does not have lift. The walls are thin as well but generally quite quiet during the night. Good thing about the place is that it has some space around the bed for placements of your own items as well as lockers in the room for you to store your bags as well! Overall an enjoyable stay!

Be mentally prepared if you bringing big luggage a
There is no lift available in the building, you need to carry your luggage and go up to 3rd floor. And there are 2 Philsay EhHwa along the same road, you need to go to the end of the road when come out from exit 2, which is next to Olive Young.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Great location, reasonable breakfast. Downside: 1. Room (8-bed dorm) is without window, thus stiff air. 2. Toilet and bathroom in the same room with only a curtain as partition, floor is almost always wet. To be fair for the price they charge it's not a bad deal.

Cheap and Close to Seoul Station
I chose this place for the price and location. There was a lot of clutter in the hallway and the bathroom I used had a lot of hair on the floor and walls. The room was comfortable and check-in was fast and easy. I am not sure I would stay again, but the area seems like a prime area for a college crowd.

larger person space
the capsule-alike dorm provide you personal space and this hostel has larger space compare to others. The sleeping pod is huge and comfortable. However a bit cold during winter, perhaps the heater is not strong enough. Its really easy to get there as it just located at the main street that heading to ehwa university. However, there is no elevator and it located at 3rd floor. Also, they provide only one pack of shower & shampoo each day, and a small towel.

I don't like this hotel.
The hotel is closed to Ehwa but if you have other choices I would not suggest this place
Beds are pretty firm/uncomfortable. It will take some getting used to especially if you're a foreigner from the US. This is no luxury room service hotel and they do not change your sheets and blankets out daily so don't expect that. But they do give you free shampoo and body wash if you request it.
Breakfast consists of your choice of jam, cheese, peanut butter and butter with slices of bread. You can also have orange juice or cereal and milk.
If you're looking for more breakfast choices, you can head downstairs to Beansbins and have some waffles with a discount if you show them your room card.
The only real complaint I have is that if you're a light sleeper, this place is probably not for you. The walls are pretty thin and the amount of sleep you get depends on the roommates you have.
Otherwise I think this place is good for the price and the hotel staff is usually really helpful and they keep the place pretty clean and stocked. Chris is awesome!
So overall if you're looking for a cheap place to stay while traveling and aren't a light sleeper, this place is perfect.
First time to share a room with others, the experience is nice. The bed is good at that price, and there r 5-6 separate bathrooms to share. No worry that u may need to take shower together with others. The room is a bit dark and no TV. The guesthouse is at 2nd floor, but no lift. The receptionist can speak well in English.
I had a horrible experience and sleepless nights here. The soundproofing is non-existent, rendering a good night sleep impossible. I could hear noise from the next door room and people talking in the breakfast area. Worse, the hair dryers are located right outside the room door. Even though there is a sign stating hair dryers should not be used from midnight to 6am, the staff does not bother with enforcing the rule, and other people continued to use the hair dryer past midnight. I was also woken up by the hairdryer in the morning about 6-7am. Because of the non-existent sound proofing, the noise travels very easily. Even though I requested for ear plugs, I could still hear noise. I booked 5 nights at this hostel, but after 3 sleepless nights I cannot take it anymore and I left and booked a private room at another nearby hostel. I requested for a refund for only one night even though I was giving two nights up, and yet the staff refused to compensate me even though it is entirely the hostel's fault for having such lousy construction with no sound proofing in the walls and for not enforcing the hairdryer and talking in the common area rules past midnight. Avoid this hostel at all cost if you are a light sleeper.
