First time booking a hotel in Shangrila but is it actually a normal protocol to have cleaning staff come barging in a room if after few knocks no one answers? Kind of an unusual experience for us especially when we put in the do not disturb sign. Luckily, my husband is there and the cleaning lady just said, "hi, you want coffee?". Weird, when there's literally a coffeemaker in the room. We called it in the front desk and we got a return call from the manager stating its a normal protocol to come in and "check" the room if no one answers. Honestly I dont think its normal protocol and definitely would not be booking here again for safety and privacy reasons.

Nice property with spacious rooms in good conditions. Buffet breakfast were satisfying with good varieties. Staff were generally very helpful. Would recommend staying at this hotel for leisure or business trips.
