Valet is a joke. 30 min in my car to have it taken care of and I have waited almost one hour to have my car back. And they were arrogant still to charge me for that service !

The concierge and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. The “Deluxe King” was more like a Queen with 2 armchairs and desk.. no couch or place for the third to sleep. We got a rollaway bed brought up for our son. There was no place to park to load/unload asides from the congested lobby port. Being “dog friendly” I expected a side door to exit/re-enter but only an exit was available so we had to walk in and around the valet one way traffic flow to get to main lobby, which scared my Shiba. When checking in the host only had a french pet agreement and explained we were not to leave our dog in the room “in case of emergency”. I would not have reserved here if I had known this as we don’t take our dog to restaurants and had never dealt with this type of policy at other “pet-friendly” places. The stair case was nice, and the location. The wifi and TV were spotty. No refrigerator /microwave asides from fully stocked “mini bar”. The food was overpriced and the space sized tub had no plug, so defeated the purpose of a deluxe bathroom. Not a good place for us.

Wonderful stay from the minute we pulled up to the hotel. The valet & front desk staff were help, accommodating, friendly & made us feel comfortable & important. We stayed in room 592, housekeeping staff were lovely & genuinely wanted our stay to be comfortable & memorable. Such a beautiful hotel, fantastic location, in an amazing city. Best hotel stay we have ever had. Can't wait to stay again.

I loved being in the city close to everything! The breakfast was amazing as was the service. The carpet in the room was old and smelled… and the bathroom looked dated. It was pretty quiet and we slept well. I enjoyed having the afternoon tea (pricey, but fun) and the evening meals, but more than two nights and I would have been bored with the food. Drinks were fun! Valet parking totally worth it! Great people working there and at Zoe’s.

The Chateau lived up to its reputation as the finest hotel in Ottawa. However, we were disappointed in the valet parking service. While the staff were very helpful, we were unable to order the car by phone since no-one answered and the app had a glitch so we couldn’t request it for at least 45 minutes.

Disorganized but gorgeous
The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. Cleaning was very good. Service at the front desk was slow but fine. Service in the restaurant/lounge was the most disorganized I have ever seen. The young black woman was excellent. Everyone else in there seemed completely confused. One older server was rude when we asked if she could help us because we had waited fifteen minutes and hadn’t received our water yet. “Has someone talked to you?! Then, no. I can’t help you.” There appears to be a lack of leadership and processes across the board at the hotel (cleaning staff may be an exception). The hotel was gorgeous though and I hope they can get it together to provide a higher level of service.
