It was close to the waterfront which we thoroughly enjoyed daily walks. Close to a lot of places to see! Lots of good restaurants. My favourite was the Bicycle Thief! Across the street was a mall which had a dollarama if you needed snacks or beverages for your room. All staff were attentive and polite. We would definitely recommend staying here.

My room smelled musty,carpet was wet, the toilet had feces on the toilet lid, there was a small amount of garbage in the garbage can. There was a machine in the room to try and take the oder out and that was not appealing.

Hotel needs to pay more attention to detail, fingerprints in the elevator and the worst pillows ever. Tempo restaurant is very good with a lot of options for breakfast. Nice bright space.

The beds had clean bedding but not the tub, there were also a few unidentifiable stains on the walls. The headboard attachments were questionable as well as , one of them also fell onto my friend's head. The shear curtains were ripped in a few spots. Had to fight with the window locks and the plug behind desk was a little scary as when we plugged or unplugged anything the lights would flicker. No one was hurt at least! We did tell the desk and and were given a much appreciated discount.

I'd recommend this hotel to everyone. I'd definitely stay here again. The beds are so comfortable. It's walkable to everything. We really enjoyed our weekend in Halifax at The Barrington Hotel.

Have a car, stay elsewhere.

The parking situation is EXTREMELY inconvenient. It was nearly impossible to find a place to park to offload luggage and once that was accomplished we had to leave and park at Scotia Square and then walk back to hotel. I will not be staying there in future.
