Lovely place with great location
There is 24/7 service which is great. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the location is great! It's a bit noisy as it's above the restaurant, but still a very nice place to have stayed in. We also ate at their restaurant; prices are very reasonable and their chef prepared a lovely take-away breakfast for us as we checked out quite early.

Case Frieda hotel
Reception was a cigarette kiosk, accommodation upstairs overlooking the back yard, where they seemed to restock the bottles in the early hours, frequently smashing bottles. Room - air con didn’t work, decor very dated, mattresses uncomfortable, Black mould in the shower. Restaurant food was ok and breakfast you ordered from the menu which was ok, omelettes. It’s a shame, the restaurant outside area is quite a substantial size and they therefore cater to a lot of people, but they are certainly not investing any profit back into the hotel itself.

Good Budget Hotel in central Sibiu
Spent 3 nights at the Casa Frieda in January ,18 Our check in took less than 5 minutes, the room was basic but , clean and warm with a walk in shower. The Breakfast was a bit confusing as we were unsure what was included in the price, however it transpired that we had a free choice from the menu which had a good selection of hot and cold food. We also had dinner twice in the hotel restaurant, good standard of food at a reasonable price. (One suggestion turn off the TV it does not add anything to the dinning experience and distracts both customers and staff.) The location is excellent just below the main square and in easy walking of most of the sights, 15 mins walk from the railway station Will use again when in Sibiu Dave and Sal Yorks

LOVED OUR STAY AT CASA FRIED
What a great idea to have accommodation behind a restaurant. Our room was nice and comfortable, breakfast was lovely as was the meals at the restaurant - I would rate the food very highly. As an accommodation owner myself there are a couple of small points that I would love to see improved ( I will add here that these two issues would not stop me staying there again but would improve my stay) 1/ I believe that tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms is a "must" as I, together with 98% of the World, wake up and love a coffee to start the day but don't like to run outside in our PJ's to get one and 2/ workers at the back of the restaurant must be reminded that there are paying guests staying there and it would be nice if the noise level was kept down somewhat. Other than that, we loved the place and will tell everyone we know to stay there. We absolutely loved the freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast. Well done Casa Frieda

Home atmosphere
It was like being a guest in someone's home. Incredible food provided for small extra fee. Perfect location for walking or driving further into the Apuseni Mountains. Caveat: The only problem is in finding the place itself! The building has no sign on it, nor is its address (nr 33) indicated. In short, it's like going to an Air B'n'b, not anything remotely like the "hotel" or "lodge" that one might be picturing in his/her mind. But once located, it's heaven.

Nice hotel in center of old town

You Probably Should Give This One A Miss
The wi-fi was terrible and never worked in the room, the only way to use it was to sit in the restaurant. The staff either seemed bored or unwilling to be helpful, in sense of the term, about anything. My room had one window which looked out onto a small courtyard that was perceptually filled with restaurant staff smoking and chatting. The bed was awful and uncomfortable. The breakfast was not a buffet and you better be satisfied with one small cup of coffee or tea. My brother could hear some kind of animal crawling around behind the walls of his room for two straight days (and nights!) until it died or just got tired; heard it myself. Overall the experience at this property was extremely unpleasant.

Wonderful location in old town.
We enjoyed our stay and the hotel was an excellent price. Strange not to have a lobby but we were able to hang out in the restaurant. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Great location in the center. We parked the car 50 meters away. Nice breakfast, but filled with smokers (as in all Romania!!).

Perfect Location
My friend and I stayed two nights at Casa Frieda. The location could not of been better to explore Sibiu. It is located on the main pedestrian street just a few meters from where a taxi can drop you off. Short walks will take you to the ":big square" and the "small square". Convenient location to many restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They knew we had to take an early train so in the morning upon departing they made sandwiches for our trip. The breakfast area is in their restaurant where you can order off the menu and included in your room. I recommend this property and would stay there again.

A welcoming hotel in Sibiu
Generally a good hotel in the center of the town. Nice personal in the reception. Buffet breakfast should be a better solution than ordering from a meny.
