Everything was very good except for one thing. I still don't know if it was a mosquitoes or a bed bugs. I was getting bitten all night. At the end of my stay I counted 17 bites all very my body. After I complained they sprayed the whole room but i Was still getting bites. Employees were very accommodating and helpful. Room was very clean and huge. I can't really blame them for bug bites. Who has control over mosquitos? If it was the bed bugs it could have been a person who stayed before me. What I saw from the staffs work ethics, if it was a bed bugs I'm sure they would have done something about it.
Nice environment, friendly staff. Andy helped me to contract a tuc tuc driver to take me to the ruins of Angkor. The polished floor of the the entrance can be dangerous if wet!! The habit of leaving your shoes at the entrance of the hotel make the beautiful polished floors a danger with only two or three drops of water. I twisted bad my ankle while descending the stairs of the entrance. There was water on the floor that I didn't see, slipped on the floor and all my weight ended on my twisted ankle... I had to use wheel chairs at the airports coming home... I was leaving Siem Rieap in a couple of hours and Voleak took her motor scooter into town and returned with a cane that she gifted to me... without that cane I really don't know how could I manage to walk the short distances I had to... I am home now with my ankle like a ball, immobilized for a couple of weeks
A French Colonial style villa which seems new and in perfect condition with high ceilings and tiled floors. Our room was large with a comfortable king bed with a/c that worked great. The staff are as good as the facility, friendly and service oriented. The included breakfast was basic but more than adequate with fruit and eggs cooked as requested. Also we choose to eat all dinners in the villa as they were reasonably priced and quite good and we just enjoyed being there. All meals are served outside under a large shelter.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
So glad I booked this place.
The owners Andy and Valk are wonderful. From the time we were picked up from the airport by their driver Pip, until we left, we were well taken care of. They provided great tips, very comparably priced tours, etc. Plus we had a couple of dedicated drivers for our tours and excursions. Located less than 2 km from town, we were away from the noise and hustle but yet a quick tuk tuk ride or bike ride. Coming from Hawaii, I thought that the pool wouldn't be necessary in January. Boy was I wrong! Definitely a big plus!!!!
We booked to stay at this hotel from home as our first destination in Cambodia. We were greeted at the airport by the tuk tuk driver and enjoyed a pleasant 20 minute ride to the hotel. We were welcomed by name by the owners. The room was large with en suite and the bed HUGE and very comfortable.Wifi was available in some areas of the room and always in the communal areas. Dinners in the small restaurant satisfied both local and Western tastes, we tried the fish amok, noodles and curry and they were delicious. Breakfast was part buffet part cooked to order, was complimentary and included fresh fruit, tea, coffee and juice as well as cooked food. Once you had an empty water bottle there was free clean water available to refil throughout the stay, which was generous as well as being Ecco friendly!Andy and Valek were always close by to answer questions and their staff were friendly and informative. They arranged tuk tuk drivers for the Ankhor wat trip and a taxi to our next destination.A real home from home.
Full of mosquito. If rainy day, the road before V&A must be muddy. Andy is friendly but he is so busy and forget picking us up when we arrived. So you must confirm with Andy about your flight and whether they will pick you or not.
We were pleasantly surprised. If you want to stay in a nice, clean and family operated property..look no further. It was almost like staying with family. The staff could not have been more accommodating. When you travel from Texas to Cambodia and rely on comments from others in making hotel accomodations, I hit a home run. I would most certainly recommend this property and if I ever find myself in Cambodia again, (Siem Reap) you can bet I will be right there with my new found friends. The value far exceeds the cost.
The hotel is small, just off the main road to the airport. The tuk-tuk drivers sometimes had trouble finding it. However, everything they do, they do well. The staff is responsive to any reasonable request.
The staff/owners really make you feel like part of the family and are very helpful. V&A villa is quite a nice place to stay, my room was spacious and cleaned daily. Also the food here, particularly the red curry, is very nice!! I ate 90% of my meals here :D
Stayed at V&A Villa Dec 28 - Jan 1. Andy was great, he was always willing to help us find things to do and was a pleasure to talk to all week. The first 3 days of our trip was pleasant, the other couples were fun to talk to and we enjoyed our time with everyone. The last evening was not so great. On New Years Eve the water in our room completely went off, no water from 8 pm - 11 pm. Then at 11 pm the water came back on but the water started to spray out of the water heater in the shower so they had to turn back off the water to our room. Ended up doing nothing on NYE because this had pretty much ruined it. Fast forward about 4 hours, it is 3 am and I smell a very strong electrical burning smell in the room with smoke coming from the bathroom. It appears the water heater device had been burning itself up and was filling our room with smoke. I immediately woke up the wife, packed up all our stuff at 3:30 am and headed downstairs to the patio area. Nobody was to be found (Keep in mind there is no reception per say, no phones in the rooms). We literally sat outside in the mosquito infested patio until 7 am (my legs ended up covered in bites) when people started to wake up. No real compensation from the owners except a free tuk tuk ride (4.00) back to the airport. If you are up for an adventure and willing to take some risks this place might work out well, but comments from others said the water issue happens from time to time so just be aware.
Absolutely loved it! A bit hard to find (even for tuk tuk drivers) but Andy & valek and his mother Marilyn were incredible hosts and I had such fun. They serve a great breakfast and have an adorable "house puppy" patch who kept me entertained by the pool. Would highly recommend
The place is very homely. Staff are very welcoming & helpful. You can choose to be solitary or mingle with other guests. The salt water swimming pool is great especially after being out the whole day. The food especially the English breakfast gives me energy for the day. I'll definitely stay here again. Thanks Andy, Volek & other staff!
The atmosphere at this hotel is splendid, like one big family who look after your every need. Organised our trips into town, airport transport and temple visit at local prices. Lovely pool and easy walk to coffee shops & bakery etc. Good price and would definitely stay here again.
We selected the Villa due to its amenities. We liked the cleanliness, safety of its location, as well as the services they offered. The rooms are beautiful, with large ceilings, bright windows, great a/c and good size bathrooms. We enjoyed the pool and the beautiful surroundings of the Villa. The staff was wonderful, very friendly, and full of great suggestions. They always had a ride available to get to town and offered several options for tour experiences. They even packed the early morning temple exploring guests with a breakfast to go! There were plenty of food choices there at the Villa for breakfast, snacks or a regular meal. The environment there is laid back and welcoming. You can sit and chat with other guests or lay pool side and play with Patch the Villa puppy. We enjoyed our stay very much. Andy and V are wonderful!!
The rooms and grounds are what I would expect at a top hotel in a first-world country. The staff was attentive and helpful. The complimentary breakfasts were simple, but adequate.
