Great menu, comfortable room and friendly staff. Lister Arms is a charming country inn amidst one of the most charming places in England. We loved our stay.
Great hotel, staff friendly and very helpful.
Clean well appointed, spacious room.
Varied menu, excellent food.
Absolutely nothing to complain about.
Although, as expected, it was busy the staff made time to ensure you had the best time.
Friendly helpful staff, lovely room excellent menu in the dining room, food was superb, cosy bar with a lovely fire good choice of ales.A great area to visit.
I stayed for two nights with my two grandsons (8&15). We had a very comfortable stay. Thoroughly enjoyed the walks to Janet’s Fosse, Gordale Scar and Malham Cove.
We had a great stay at the Lister Arms. We stayed in a cozy room, which was cozy, but absolutely fine. The breakfast was good, and food in the restaurant great. The service provided throughout was exceptional. Would definitely recommend.

great location, disappointing accommodation
sorted our luggage on arrival around 10.30 allowing us to walk all day. check in on return quick & efficient but room disappointing small & cramped. shower door fell off on second morning and to get the correct shower temperature it was necessary to run the washbasin hot tap whilst showering. nowhere to store cases and little room for toiletries in bathroom. great location and food but disappointing accommodation
We enjoyed many facets of our stay at the Lister Arms in early May. The sights and walks are stupendous--there are steep walks and near flat walks along the river and some through stone walled grass fields with lots of sheep. The food at the Lister was excellent and we had meals in the morning, midday and evening. Great selection of real ales. Very attentive and engaging staff.
Fabulous place. Lovely staff and lots of them. The dining room was lovely and the pub had a cosy feel. Our room was large and decorated in keeping with the pub with quality furnishings and was very clean

A lovely time.
I had a lovely stay at the Listers Arms. The location was ideal for walking to the cove and further on the Pennine Way. The food was excellent both at breakfast and in the evening. The room was maybe a little tired and there were some minor cleanliness issues around the shower tray. These would not prevent me from a return visit. The quality, efficiency and friendliness of the staff could not be faulted and the whole team at the inn should be congratulated.

Mattress in the room I had was worn, and for me, uncomfortable. To travel to Malham you need a car. I wanted to travel a couple miles away and the manager said I would have to call a taxi from Skipton. Fortunately, a staff member reminded her (the manager) about the mid morning bus I could catch. Without that input I would have had to spend closer to 30 pounds on the taxi versus the 2 pounds on the bus. Seems like information the property manager should have provided to me. If that staff member had not been within earshot I would have had to pay far more.
The inclusive breakfast buffet was nice but found the evening pub meal average, though pub setting is cosy.
Recommended by a friend as it’s a dog friendly pub to stay in. It was so welcoming, lovely atmosphere and food and perfect location for walking around Malham and the Dales.
This was a friendly, well run hotel. The food was good and Malham was a good location for a meeting with my son. I visitted the hotel some years ago and was pleased to see that it was still good.
Fantastic location, very comfy and spacious room with good facilities. Great little pub with good tasting beer, food and a decent fire. Will definitely stay again!
