All about location! Front desk was accommodating with room request at checkin. Room is basic and spacious especially for 1. Had a half frig, microwave and coffee pot. Access to Taino Beach Resort and water taxi to Port Lucaya also pluses.

Pillows on the bed were flat like nothing there, very thin sheets no blankets , no toilet paper holder , ceiling fan didn’t work, light did but not fan. To go eat you have to take a boat shuttle to an area about 10 mins away. Boat runs every hour but not always on time. No breakfast place that I’m aware of.

No functioning light bulb in the room. TV didn’t work WiFi didn’t work (and if it did, the password was only available at check in (which was locked up). Lobby was locked. No one to check me in, received a key from a security guard, who I only found by luck. Room was freezing. No heater. Bed was two sheets and two pillows. No duvet, no blanket. Security guard found me a blanket and I slept in my clothes. No bottled water. Should I go on? For the love of God, please don’t stay here.

The hotel itself is a bit old but is part of a big resort that has beautiful beach that wasn't crowded. Staff at the Flamingo is doing all possible to meet your needs and kept my room clean, changed towels daily. Boat service to the town provided. I had a great time there.
