Tiny room with all the basics,(soap, shampoo, towels), and a tiny elevator that works well. Balcony room on 5th floor was fantastic for the price, despite a bed that is, let's say "thin and firm," and one pillow that's, let's say "adequate."
Always someone at the desk, and they have a small fridge if you want to buy water, soda, or a can of Bulgarian beer. Whole thing is like stepping back to 1974, but to me it was an unbeatable part of the uniqueness of the place. Full pressure quick hot water, and the cafe has a decent espresso in the morning for 2 lev. Right in the center of everything. For what you get the price is outstanding.
