ROOM TO ROAM AND WATCH THE SHOOTING STARS AT NIGHT. FULLY FENCED YARD. Patio is covered. Couples and kiddo heaven. Home treated with germshield. No need for a "do not disturb" door hanger, no noisy hallways, no morning knocks on the door saying "housekeeping", privacy privacy privacy with a view of the country side, private hot tub and your own private pool. General ruling for this sweet cottage is that it is very homey, inviting and comfortable - if you like mother natures gifts, quiet country living, this is the destination for you - and only a few minutes from downtown somerset, etc. Imagine waking up to the sounds of mother natures music from the birds, rooster crowing, wind curving through the trees, sun billowing through the windows to warm your soul, in our opinion, heaven on earth. Step out on the patio to hear the rustle of the breeze in the trees and let it soothe your soul, and the view what a priceless gift. You will not want to leave. For the couples who have visited, its my understanding that it was just what they needed....we just might decide to call this spot the "LOVE SHACK". If you want a fun activity take a kayak or canoe or tube to strawberry road just a few minutes away and float down the creek. 10 minutes from six boat ramps on Lake Cumberland, and plenty of convenient parking room for your boat. A couple of miles from downtown Somerset, water park near by. Quiet family friendly 3 bedroom, sleeps up to 8, has full size bed this room has 32 inch roku ready smart tv, queen size bed this room has 32 inch roku ready smart tv and king size bed and hide a bed couch - ceiling fans in every bedroom and living room and kitchen, Furnished with washer/dryer in closet in kitchen - easy access, kitchen has oven/stove microwave, coffee maker including keurig, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, bath has full tub/shower. Fully furnished in every way - including starter coffee.

cleaning process is per vrbo guidelines,

as for the cleaning, i have used a treatment called permasafe it is a permanent antimicrobial - that alone per fda kills the virus as effective as lysol wipes etc.. permasafe is on all surfaces, furniture, touch points, hvac filter, remotes etc. also we us an ozonator on all rooms after the guest leaves. after cleaning with bleach water mixture, we spray everything down with alcohol. there is, hand soap provided for each renter. the hot tub water is replaced and treated with shock. the pool is shocked chemically every time a new renter arrives. In our cleaning process all dishes, silverware and glasses and cups are washed on sanitize in the dishwasher.

Great New Year’s Getaway
My wife and I stayed at this house with our dog over New Year’s Eve. It was so cozy, relaxing, and the perfect getaway for our family. The hot tub was great and we loved hiking at the Boone National Forest which was only about 20 minutes from the house. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

The house was absolutely perfect for us. The dogs LOVED the backyard, and everything we could have possibly needed was already there. Relaxing country setting
Sheryl and Donna from Michigan Nice and comfortable home. The listing of home is an accurate description. Enjoyed being outside in the big fenced backyard with the dogs and watching the neighbors farm animals. Hot tub is a plus after hiking. Busy street but not concerning. Good communication with host. Everything we needed
My partner, daughter and myself stayed at Kris's property over thanksgiving for 5 days. We all had break from school (college, and elementary) and wanted to do something together as a family. We found Kris's property, and it was just what we were looking for. She provided us with a website she put together of attractions nearby, throughout the Daniel Boone National Forest. We spent our days hiking waterfalls and mountains. And one of our days ventured about an hour and a half to Mammoth Cave National Park. Coming back to the house was great after these hikes. Soaking in the hot tub with a nice view, playing games around the table, and sitting in the living room by the fire. Very cozy. The beds were also very comfortable. If we find ourselves in this area again I would definitely book Kris's property again!

Lovely property in the hills of southern Kentucky
Great place to unwind in this nicely appointed 3 BR ranch! Plenty of space and amenities for the whole family. The hosts have provided nearly everything you could need for your stay. The properly is situated between the hills of southern KY with beautiful sunset views from the covered back patio and sunrise views from the front porch. It's a very secluded, quiet area but only minutes from town with a great selection of restaurants and shopping. Easy commute to many other local towns if you want to check out the area. Enjoy being lulled to sleep each night with the sounds of nature. I highly recommend this properly!

A slice of paridise
After teaching at the Kentucky Basket Association Conference, the home is a great retreat! It is so relaxing, with plenty of room and a fenced in yard my dog can run around in. This is the second year we stayed and I highly recommend it!!

A nice place to recharge
Kris is a fantastic host and makes sure you have everything you need. The house is fully stocked and has a huge fenced in yard to stretch your legs and chase your pups around. If you choose to sit on the patio, hot tub, or have a fire -the magic happens at night with endless stars. A nice place to recharge.

Relaxing Getaway
We loved relaxing out in the country, watching the cows graze on the hills. We loved the quiet and hiking at the nearby national Forest and State Parks. We especially appreciated that Kris brought us over some shampoo as that was not included and we hadn’t brought any with us! The outside area is gorgeous: clean hot tub, covered seating, grill and table. We spent most our time outside! The pool is across the street at the owner’s property so we didn’t use that. The beds are comfortable and everything you need in the kitchen is provided. Thank you, Kris for hosting us well.

Perfect Getaway
This house is exactly as pictured. Kris is a wonderful Host and our stay was perfect. The house is located in the middle of farms and the neighbors aren't that close. It was a great getaway for me and my friends for our yearly trip. This was our second stay at this house and if we return to Kentucky, it will be where we stay again.

Amazing Property and Host
My family of 4 booked a Florida vacation months ago and were forced to cancel due to weather at the last minute. I started searching for a backup plan and have family in the Somerset area. This place was perfect for a family of 4 and had everything you could possibly need or forgot to bring with you. Close to basically everything. The hot tub was amazing under the stars and the kids were so happy in the large crystal clear pool across the street. Our host was absolutely delightful and helped us have a great trip even though our big one was canceled. It was so relaxing and much needed for our family.

Relaxing, Family Friendly Vacation
Our first family trip of 4 was a great success! This house had everything we needed - private pool access across the street, private hot tub in the back with a beautiful view & sitting area, playground for our boys (fenced in yard was a huge bonus with a 2 year old who loves to be outside and explore), grocery store within 15 minutes of the place, and reasonable driving distance to lots of activities for both us & the kids! One of our favorite parts was watching the cows, horses, and deer in the evening while enjoying the warm sunset skies. What a relaxing weekend! Also worth mentioning, the host was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Thanks Kris for a great stay! We’d certainly come back again!

July 4th Weekend
Property was as described, newer 3 bedroom house with what you’d need to stay. The yard area was well setup with being fenced in so the puppers couldn’t escape, fire pit and hot tub were fun. Communication with Kris was easy and she was quick to answer any question I had (one I think). Overall we’d go back as we had a great time.

Relaxing Get Away
This was exactly what we needed! From the moment we walked in the front door, I knew I'd picked the right VRBO property for our getaway. Everything you could think of needing is there. It was close enough to restaurants and stores but enough off the beaten path that the views are just breathtaking. We can't wait to book again when the leaves have changed colors. The restaurant Kris recommended, The Charred Oak Grille, Delicious! Thank you Kris, for everything. If we could give more than 5 stars I would!
