True Island Living - Escape to Paradise

Our escape is what we love to call it. This beautiful condo is located at Bimini Cove Resort , formerly Bimini Sands. If you are looking to truly disconnect and recharge you need to be here. We are located in building number 7 (7P) overlooking the marina but a short minute walk from the infinity pool and pristine beaches.

This unit is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit with a fully stocked kitchen. We are ready to welcome our guests. We are prepared to host a maximum of 8 guests. We have one bedroom with a queen and a full bath on the first floor, along with a living room couch that unfolds into a queen size sleeping bed. In addition, one queen bed and two twin beds are in the loft.

We recommend traveling with speciality grocery items as there are smaller scale convenient and grocery stores on island. North Bimini would have a greater variety, but for items you haven't traveled with you can head down to D&S Mini Mart down the road is well stocked with non perishable items and also rents golf carts. You will see Smalls Take out next to it. We love their local cuisines.

The beaches of Bimini especially the South Island are white and the ocean is a beautiful turquoise. Come year around for great fishing and family time. Take out the grill to make a delicious meal at sunset.

Our fully protected deep-water marina features full utilities, free WiFi, deep draft 8-foot entry at low tide, a provisions store and much more. Most guests arrive by commercial airline through one of Florida’s gateways (i.e Miami International Airport, Fort Lauderdale International Airport or Orlando Melbourne International Airport) or via Nassau (Nassau International Airport). Private charter flights are also available from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE). Conveniently located, South Bimini Airport (BIM) is only a 10-minute taxi ride from Bimini Cove.

Main airline carriers are Aztec Airways, Silver Airways, Tropic Ocean Airways , Flamingo Air (Freeport) or Western Air (Nassau).

BY FERRY
The Bimini Ferry departs from Terminal 21, Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The address of the terminal is 2021 Eller Drive - Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33316. Check-in begins at 6:00 am and ends at 8:00 am for 9 am daily departure. Cruise departs Bimini at 6:30 pm (check-in by begins at 3:45 pm & closes at 5:30 pm).

BY PRIVATE VESSEL
Our marina entrance features prominent green and red illuminated markers for your safety. Wellington floating docks with ample cleats provide the ideal location to dock your boat in any weather.

Upon arrival to the marina, you must clear your vessel and crew with Bahamas Customs & Immigration, which is on call to the resort property. Once you enter the port, fly the yellow quarantine flag. Once docked, the captain is permitted to leave the boat in order to clear the boat and crew with local customs and immigration. All crew is required to remain on board until the captain returns with vessel clearance.

**Please be advised the Bahamas travel advisory through the US State Dept. has the majority of crime occuring on New Providence (Nassau) and Grand Bahama (Freeport) islands. Not South or North Bimini.

Nice, clean, and well stocked
The condo was very clean and well stocked. The AC was ice cold. We lost power twice (once for 40 minutes and once for about 4 hours) which I think is to be expected on a tiny island. The unit has everything you need (washer/dryer, pots and pans, charcoal grill, icemaker in the fridge, enough towels for all of Bimini!). Overall we would definitely rent there again. We went to the infinity pool a couple times and enjoyed ourselves. The walk along the beach is also very nice.
