This property is a repurposed La Quinta and is need of some updating. The beds were decently comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The balconies are tiny, unless you are lucky enough to get one of the ones in the center of the building. I really don't think it should have the word "resort" in it's name because there really isn't anything fantastic about the place. It is simply a nice, but slightly outdated hotel. I cannot comment on the free breakfast option because we did not take advantage of that. They do have a nice coffee shop and store in the lobby and a restaurant/bar (Ola) at the pool area. You are not allowed to take your own alcoholic beverages to the pool. You have to buy them at the Ola Bar at $6 bucks a beer (not sure about other mixed drinks). The other nice thing about this hotel is that it is walking distance to Bar Louie, Claytons (right next door) which has live music, and there is another bar behind the Hilton which is on the other side of this hotel. You can walk through the back of the property to each bar and they all sell alcohol. Just note that if you buy a beer/drink at Ola bar you cannot cross to any other bar area with that beer/drink. You have to finish it there. Same goes for the other bars. Also, you can RENT umbrella and loungers that are set up on the beach. Overall it's a good enough place to stay, but nothing fancy about it, if that's what you are expecting.
