The hotel itself was nice and clean. The staff quickly resolved a minor issue. However, there was construction noise much of the day during my stay in April 2025 due to renovations of a neighboring building.

We loved how unique the hotel building is - a former gas/oil company office building - not new construction so it was solid with extremely noise-proof rooms. Lots of space in the lobby and breakfast area to accomodate everyone. Staff was incredibly friendly and service-oriented. Highly recommend staying her for value, location to many St. Louis attractions, and customer service.

Great place to stay

Came to town to visit friends and enjoy some events around town. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Definitely would book here again.

We had a great stay; however, be prepared to either meter park or pay for valet. There are no other options for parking. Other than that, this place was great and the location was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and the staff was very friendly.

I stayed here with my 14 year old daughter for a volleyball tournament. On the second night i had a new guest knocking on my door around 1:30 am. I asked what he needed and he just responded with him having the wrong room. 10 min pass. And more knocking!!! At this time myself and my 14 year old girl started panicking because they were trying to open the door!!! I asked who it is was and they said security!! At that moment the room phone starts ringing it’s the lady from the front desk asking me for my name, she goes on to tell me that they assigned my room to someone else and that they had me as a no show!! Of course i told her that was not my fault i had paid and checked in! I will never in my life stay here again!! People please stay away!

Just like this past summer, it was a great experience. Although the TV in my room did not work, the workers more than made up for it. Great courteous staff, clean hotel, I will definitely stay again. These people go above and beyond the call of duty to make everything right.

When we arrived, the room to our door was propped open and the sofa couch wasn’t fully put back into the couch. Our room was never cleaned throughout our stay and we were out all day long. The staff was nice and the hotel was clean, but it’s not anything to write home about.

Last night 3/8/2025 they let people have a party on 2nd floor where we stayed room 209 that was up yelling, laughing, screaming from 9pm-4am!!!! My daughter who is 12yo had to be awake at 6am for her volleyball tournament with daylight savings we didn’t sleep!! Hotel staff could care less and were contacted and nothing changed and security guard was hanging with the party people! To top it off I had to then drive 6hours home on no sleep! I’d like a credit or refund for 1night!

Solid Weekend Stay

The hotel is in the historical Shell Building. I stayed Friday and Saturday night. The room was well appointed and clean. Check-in was quick and easy. There is a full service breakfast in the morning. The location is walking distance to the Enterprise Center where the St. Louis Blues play. The church and park across the street have a few homeless folks sleeping and wandering around. The hotel has security. Valet is $55 per night, but I was able to find metered street parking. I paid less than $10 on the street for my entire stay. I would stay here again.

Amazing staff, solid experience, will stay again!

What made this stay amazing was the 5-star staff at the hotel. They are a delight, every single person we interacted with was above and beyond kind, helpful, and just lovely, which means a lot to me these days. Negatives: I slept on the couch bed in my room, which came with a baffling assortment of sheets (4 pillowcases, 1 pillow, 2 fitted sheets), the shower took like 5 minutes to heat up every morning, but these are things that are fixable or that I can live with. Positives: the free breakfast was pretty decent, the staff (as mentioned), the room had solid amenities for a traveler who needs kitchen space (full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, full set of plates, etc). This is a hotel that is really trying to offer an elevated experience, and is mostly getting there. And for the price, absolutely a great deal. Would stay here again for sure.
