Facilities old fashioned throughout. Suspect electrical wiring and noisy plumbing. Shower just a trickle of water and tiny . Staff hardly ever there. Breakfast was awful. No English breakfast just cheap cold breakfast . For £100 a night it was a complete rip off.

We’ve been 3 times before, and always had a cooked breakfast. This time we had a continental breakfast. The in room information book clearly shows that the cooked breakfast has been erased out, and replaced with continental breakfast. As we booked well in advance, I must assume that they were doing cooked breakfast recently.

Very disappointed was not what we expected needed updating
Great stay, Anna was lovely and very helpful. Rooms are basic but clean, breakfast was good, a good choice.
Easy access to buses everywhere, pubs with food options within easy walking distance. St Aubin is a 2 min ride away and has lots of restaurants. St Hellier is a 15min bus journey Great stay.
I wish I had listened to the reviews more. We stayed here for a few nights whilst visiting Jersey for the first time just wanting a clean and comfortable place to stay. To say the hotel was not up to standard would be an understatement. Upon arrival at the hotel, we waited a while to be seen (even though we arrived at check in time) and during the stay we hardly saw the owner however expressed our disappointment when we did see her. We informed her that the shower had no water pressure and that the shower was literally falling apart and masking tape had been used in an attempt to fix it. We also shared our worries of their being a hole in the floor which your foot sunk into (we were on the top floor so we were quite concerned) and that breakfast was not an enjoyable experience. This was unfortunately met with an unbothered attitude, lack of apology and excuses beyond our control, she made no attempt to look at the safety of the floor in the room or reimburse any money. At breakfast time, one small toaster was shared between many guests which made wait times long and the selection was disappointing, we ended up having breakfast out the following day. This was certainly not an inexpensive place to stay therefore we will be contacting the property with a request to be refunded at least a portion of the money we paid. Overall, the location of the hotel was good being close to beach and bus stops, the room was clean but would not recommend this to anyone and would not go again.

Time warp
As a place to sleep after a busy day, this hotel serves its purpose. The staff were lovely and couldnt have worked any harder but the hotel is let down by its appearance. It is almost like stepping back in time as the rooms are so dated. There was very little power in the shower and the room I stayed in only had the one main ceiling light - no lamps or reading lights for night-time.

The property could benefit from an upgrade. Rooms feels closed in. Lack of maintenance inside and outside. Staffs are doing their best to accommodate, but expression on their faces tells a different stories.
My second visit. Very clean guesthouse. Basic but adequate breakfast.
Anna and the rest of the staff are very friendly.
Great location between St Helier and St Aubin.
Airport bus stops outside Seawold.
Would certainly return
Had a lovely stay, a very nice guest house with all you need for a stay. Lovely shared lounge where you can eat and use the fridge , glasses, plates and cutlery. Towels for use for the beach as well as for in the room. Lovely seating area outside the front.
A lot of traffic at front of guest house slept with windows open and was very soothing and meditative. Such a great location for the beach, walks, shop and buses.
Anna is a lovely host and is so accommodating.
Lovely accommodation in a great location for getting around the island. Breakfast was basic but was a good start for the day. Room was clean and comfortable with everything you needed.
Prompt at replying to messages and we were able to keep our room on for the day which was very helpful.
Would definitely recommend and next time visiting Jersey would stay again at Seawold

Great stay overall but properly now a bit tired
Not my first visit to this pleasant, friendly and very clean B&B and hopefully not my last as it suits my holiday needs. The location is perfect: a bus stop yards away on the route between the airport and St Helier, the beach across the road and a 4-minute stroll along the prom to the nearest café with spectacular views over the bay. A big plus is the spacious lounge with a guests' fridge - very handy if you don't fancy eating out every night. However not all is perfect. The property exterior is beginning to look shabby with peeling window frames and ripped cushions on the patio furniture. The interior is stuck in the 80's and would benefit from a refurb and in my case a (long overdue) mattress change. Also the full English breakfast is no more, replaced by Continental which personally I think is a shame. But most of the negatives I'm prepared to overlook because I like the manager Anna who is hard-working, friendly and nice.

The perfect base for those exploring Jersey
We had a very nice stay, Anna was very attentive and was the perfect host. Breakfasts were good with plenty of fresh food to chose from. Our room was a little bit dated, we had to wait a few minutes for the hot water to warm up and our toilet needed more than one flush. But overall, it was the perfect place to stay and to go out exploring the lovely island of Jersey from. Conveniently situated near restaurants, pubs etc and excellent for a long walk along St Aubins Bay.
Thank you Anna for making our 7 night break so enjoyable xx
Easy access to regular buses. Very clean, rooms were cleaned every day. Nice dining room for breakfast and comfortable lounge to relax in.
I would have liked an occasional choice of cooked breakfast as well as continental..
We enjoyed our stay at the Southwold.

Excellent location, comfortable room with lots of space.
For me it was a little dated, the property could benefit from updating.
The breakfast is below par, sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumber, sliced cheese, toast and ham, not the most appealing of “English Breakfast” as offered, I don’t feel this constitutes an English Breakfast.
This property is stuck in the 1970's. Nothing wrong with that but. The room we had was dated to say the least, wallpaper coming off the wall in three places, my wife had to clean the bath before we could use the shower, the room was cold on arrival with the main heating turned off, there was a plug in heater which by morning had taken the chill off. When we arrived there was no one to greet us (was 9.00pm) and the keys were just left in the room (this had been communicated to us). There was a chalk board which informed us breakfast was between 8.00 and 9.00am. We went to go for breakfast at 8.30am but could not find the breakfast room so messaged and called to ask. Eventually, we assume was Anna, showed us down a corridor to the breakfast room. It was just a continental breakfast, which is not clear, and very much do it yourself. The cheese was just enough for my wife and granddaughter to have a slice with some ham and I made do with toast. There was no sign of anyone to clear tables or replenish stock. The atmosphere was not good. This is not a cheap accommodation by any stretch and we decided not to stay. We sought out alternative accommodation that was half board and over £200 cheaper. We have contacted the owner 3 times to ask for a 50% refund and no response. She will ask for a bank transfer on any balance as apparently the card machine isn't working. Needless to say we will not return for our annual visit to Jersey
Room ok. Water pressure in shower very poor.
Very good breakfast and very pleasant girl serving breakfast
Great location close to St Helier, St Aubin and on bus route to airport
Perfect location right on top of the bus stop if using public transport. Short walk into St Albans and a lovely longer beach walk into St Helier.
Fab value for money, comfortable and clean.
