My husband and I were really looking forward to our stay at Bally’s Lake Tahoe. We absolutely loved the steakhouse and the cigar lounge both were amazing and definitely the highlights of our trip. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was very disappointing.
We booked a Deluxe King Room through Expedia, but when we arrived after a 7-hour drive, we were told that the room type we paid for was no longer available. The front desk mentioned that Expedia often overbooks, and the only option left was a room with two queen beds at the same price. We were exhausted and didn’t want to deal with finding another hotel, so we accepted it but it was not what we reserved or expected.
To make things worse, the front desk staff were very rude and uninviting. There was no greeting, no smile, and no sense of professionalism it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests.
The view from our room was awful, looking directly at a rooftop. On top of that, the ice machine was broken on our floor, and the drink machine didn’t have any water, even though it listed water as an option.
For the price and reputation of this hotel, I expected much better. It was not the relaxing or welcoming experience we hoped for.
