Our stay at Howelsen Place was simply perfect! The condo was very spacious and clean and the perfect location to shops, restaurants, the rodeo and river floating. The farmers market was an added bonus! Also thoroughly enjoyed the patio area! We will definitely be back!

Perfect Location
This was the perfect location for our first trip to Steamboat in early Summer. It is literally in the heart of downtown so within walking distance of tons of great spots. Now I'll break down good/not so good but TL;DR version we would stay here again with no hesitation so my not so good is pretty nit picky. Not so good: I wish they had garage remotes so you wouldn't have to get out of your car to put in the pin on the keypad. There is a sign in the room alluding to remotes but when I asked was told to use the keypad. But we also didn't drive much for the trip so not a big deal. The patio is semi private, the space for the condo is walled off in a subtle way so you have your own spot but the overall space is open to anybody but has great views. This is odd but the water switches, esp in the shower, are...weird. Required some tinkering to figure out hot/cold. Since it was warm the A/C isn't the greatest but we just had the windows open to keep it cool. And with great location comes noise....drunken people looking for their car in the middle of the night. Car alarms. High energy birds at 4 am. TV in the bedroom is pretty small. Wifi is pretty slow. The Good: Great communication from mgmt company, well stocked kitchen, awesome shower/bed/pillows, location is perfect, dedicated garage space with luggage cart if needed. Pretty quiet floor since there aren't many units. Cool art/pictures in the unit that aren't tacky. Good tap water

Great Condo!
The property was very clean, well appointed, and in a great location. The communication by the management company was outstanding. Family room was spacious and comfortable, kitchen was nice, bed was very comfortable, and corner unit with the adjacent deck was nice. Could use a bigger TV in the Family room, but it was sufficient.

Beautiful condo and perfect location!
The first thing I noticed upon arrival was how clean our place was. Cleanliness is very important to me, and this was one of the cleanest places we have stayed at. So much attention to detail with the sweet treats and snacks that were left for us upon arrival. Plenty of towels and washcloths And the owner even left beach towels for us to take to the Hot Springs. I would 100% recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

Location (downtown) was great because everything was within walking distance. I have a hard thinking of anything negative to say about the condo. I say surprised in the title because just about everything we could have wanted was there. As an example, we needed a meat thermometer and there was one in the drawer. In fact, it was probably best stocked kitchen we’ve had at a vacation rental. Also, there was a Christmas Tree in the condo when we arrived (we spent Christmas in steamboat). The only negative is not related to the condo. The code to remotely open the garage door to the building wasn’t working. We are planning to return to steamboat next Christmas and will likely return to this condo if available.

This place is great! Huge living room and kitchen area, fireplace, comfortable furniture. The location is perfect -- easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. And it's just a 1 minute walk to the bus stop which frequently runs to the ski area.
