The room was average sized and clean. Love the twin duvets for the king beds. The bed itself was comfortable and the hotel was quiet although I didn’t get the sense there were many guests. Instant coffee was provided which was convenient. The bathroom was awful. Quite easily the worst bathroom facility I’ve ever come across in Europe. It felt like I was on a cruise ship where I could brush my teeth, use the toilet, and shower at the same time. The sink was tiny with really no shelf. The shower wasn’t the usual tub with a glass partition you find in Europe. It was a continuous part of the floor (no basin or lip whatsoever) with a drain in the floor and a curtain. Using the shower flooded the entire bathroom. There was nothing you could do except take as fast a shower as possible and once dry, use your bath towel to try and sop up the floor. There wasn’t an outlet in the bathroom and the only mirror was in the bathroom. You couldn’t really use a hair appliance. The breakfast (which was included when we booked) wasn’t very good - powered eggs, sausage, some sort of hash brown patty, plain crepe. The fresh fruit/vegetables and pastries were alright. I guess for the price it was all we could ask for; I mean we used it mostly for sleeping. However, the bathroom situation was a definite negative and I’d never stay here again.
