Advertised as having a lift, primary reason why we picked this over other options. Rooms for 4 are actually in the basement so not serviceable by the lift. This should be described more clearly, very disappointing. Room was exceptionally dim and some light fixtures were coming off the ceiling.
Reception was helpful and accommodating.
Poor breakfast selection, skip this and step out onto the street, there are various options just steps away, with better coffee.
Great location, just be aware that taxis may not be able to drive down the street throughout the day as its too tight and will deposit you a short walk away. Great if you don’t have much luggages or small children.
Bed fairly comfortable.
When there was a problem of my room being downstairs and not serviced by the elevator, I walk with a cane after a stroke, the desk clerk took my 2roller bags down for me then I struggled down 2flights of steep concrete stairs. That afternoon they moved me to the main floor to a smaller room. The hotel was fully booked for the rest of the week so I was moved about 4blocks to their 5star hotel with a nice elevator. They moved my bags for me. Such helpful staff and management. Would recommend Lord Nelson or Victory Hotels.
Location great but too expensive for a single bed. room was too small cannt stay in room unless u sleep in small bed where u cannt even turn side so small even for 5’6” person like me .
Right in the heart of Gamla Stan, just a minute or two walking to all the sights as well as restaurants and bars.
In Sweden, Kira means coffee, drinks and snacks with friends. Kids was all around the hotel.
My wife and I liked the location a lot right in the middle of Old Stockholm within walking distance to restaurants, tourist attractions, shops, etc. Our room was a little small with no air conditioning and no windows that could be opened which we knew in advance. Still the room was clean, shower was good, and the additional two bunk beds would be perfect for a family with two kids. We enjoyed the included breakfast. Would stay here again.
Excellent location for seeing the Stockholm sights but seems over-priced for what you get. Very basic room and noisy. Simple breakfast with very little choice and not very eco-friendly with so much packaging. Staff courteous. Left early due to COVID-19 and didn't want to risk staff or other guests. Management refused a partial (1-day) refund even though notice given. Very disappointing.
This is a quaint quirky place. Room was tiny yet expensive. The breakfast looked like barely more than just toast. Staff were very friendly. Street is perfect for souvenir shopping.
Very centrally located in Gamla Stan. Many nearby cafes and restaurants. Adequate though not magnificent breakfast included. When I searched was most affordable in Gamla Stan.
Thanks to the wonderful staff at Lord Nelson Hotel! Great location, historic area of Stockholm. Felt like I was staying in a small museum. Rooms small but I was out and about the entire trip. Great front desk!
Excellent location in the heart of Gamla Stan. Hotel is tiny but quaint, with fun decor. Breakfast is adequate. Our room was a family room with a king bed and 2 bunk beds but no windows (which we had been told about). The hotel provided small tabletop fans, but it was still extremely stuffy and became pretty claustrophobic after a day or two. It was quite tiny and cramped, but the price we paid for staying Gamla Stan.
I stayed with my family great place for the price, safety and location. Within walking distance from all the most visited places, Royal palace, noble price museum, art gallery, hop on and off bus, etc. The best thing I can honestly say, Jack Viking Smeds which is the concierge-front desk worker made our stay so pleasant. We can’t wait to go back again, ❤️ the city.
