We booked a Premium room with a sea view for our stay at this hotel. On returning to our room after dinner we discovered that the theatre adjacent to the hotel had a bar with a late night license which played incredibly loud music making it impossible to sleep until late into the night. Speaking to the staff of the hotel the following day we discovered that this was an issue through out the summer and they admitted that there had been a large number of complaints from hotel guests. We asked to be moved but the only rooms available were at the back of hotel with no view. We accepted this but asked for a refund for the down grade to the room. At first this was refused and we were offered breakfast, this we declined as we only have a coffee for breakfast. We were then offered a credit against the hotel restaurant, this we also declined as we had already booked restaurants for the duration of our stay. Finally we were offer a 400 krona a night refund which we were pleased to accept. We asked for an email to confirm this which was never received, we were also told that the manager would be in touch, this never happened. When it came to check out we were informed that we had imagined the refund and that this had never been offered. This is categorically not the case, it was clear that the hotel are dealing with multiple complaints regarding the noise and are doing the utmost not to make amends for this. Stay elsewhere

Location is amazing -- everything nearby. We had a short trip, so access to everything was crucial. The breakfast is truly wonderful, especially the salmon-herring scene. The room had no view, was in average condition. The check-in staff was terrible. Literally nothing was correct what they said. One example: they told us the breakfast starts at 6:30, we went down with our little kid, just to learn that it starts at 7. We asked about boat trips, they had no idea. Generally they seemed untrained and unkind. Staff in the breakfast area was much nicer.

Short stay in Stockholm
We were at the end of a month long trip around Sweden. We chose the hotel for its central location which was ideal. Our room was clean and spacious with a lovely view over the harbour watching the boats come and go. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of space for everyone.

We arrived very late after a long flight the night manager greated us with a big smile and made us feel completely comfortable. Our room was very quiet with a superb view, the next morning we had a lovely breakfast and we were able to walk to all the sights. Could not have been a better stay.
