Very good

We were here for 2 nights and without our knowledge the staff moved our belongings to a different room. It was most disconcerting. Also both bathrooms smell highly of urine. We were told it was a problem with all of the bathrooms and that they are working on it.
stayed at this hotel for 2 nights room only it was good value for money and writhing easy access to Dundee, our superior king room was very modern and the bed was super comfy, staff very friendly. Only 2 negatives I’d say is the swimming pool is small and there’s not a lot of ventilation in the room
I was really disappointed with my stay here. It's not a 4* in any shape or form. No air-conditioning and the attention to detail is missing. The bar was not clean and no one seemed to pay any attention to us.The bed was uncomfortable and too warm but the room was clean. There was a heavy smell of food in the corridor and used room service trays lay in the corridor. The garden was a unkempt maze and dry fountain. I wouldn't recommend this place as I've stayed in 4* and 5* and this isn't even a 3*. The pool was cloudy and in full veiw of everyone. Not worth the money in my opinion.
This hotel has potential, but I’m not sure they truly want this to be a great hotel. Service is ok, but could be much better. Dinner was nice. Breakfast, we arrived late and clearly they were not going to provide fresh food so we left. As I say, potential but not clear the hotel want to improve.
The Hotel itself is lovely, some areas could do with a bit of TLC, our bedroom was comfortable, clean and tidy..staff are friendly, nothing a problem.
It's the breakfast I must admit was not up to parr, for price paid, £30 per person and what is available not worth the cost, as far as I am concerned..spent less at other 4 star Hotels with much more choice.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Not my usual good experience.
I normally have a good stay at this hotel but there were a few issues this trip. Toilet seat and bath had damage and chips, mold around the bath, toilet roll holder came off the wall, andsharp screw sticking out of the desk with the handle on the floor under the desk.
This is unfortunate as i usually enjoy my stay at this hotel.
The stay itself was brilliant, the room was super clean and tidy, bed was really comfortable too! Bathroom was great and had everything we needed. Only a couple of picky things, the tv wasn’t very good and didn’t have many channels but it wasn’t much of a problem for us, the restaurant wasn’t great, the fish was slightly overcooked and the steak pie was over done. The price of the food and drink wasn't really good value for money but there are many other options around. The service was great however! The gardens are so well kept and it’s beautiful! The staff were so so lovely and they were so welcoming too! All and all it was a great trip.
This hotel is average quality, okay for an overnight.
The proprietors require urgently to re invest in the fabric of the building. The conservatory dining area hasn’t seen painter work for decades resulting in the roof timbers showing serious signs of decay.
Hotel serving a curry with nam bread and no chutney!! Management investment in staff training for customer service would really lift the etiquette of this hotel. “You Guys” is not a term you would find used by overseas professional dining room staff!
Carpark is spacious
Ideal place to stay for visiting Dundee.
Set in a lovely garden setting.
Rooms very clean & well equipped.
Didn't eat there as felt food was a bit pricey.
Got room at a good price with Expedia
Overall it was a pleasant one night stay & would book this hotel again
Unfortunately we had a dreadful stay at the hotel.
Closed road directly outside midweek from 1900-0700. This wasn’t advised when booking, if known I wouldn’t have booked. A 20 minute diversion to get back from Dundee city centre. Night closures are until 2025.
Our room smelt very strongly of dried urine.
I asked for a cleaner, none available, I asked for someone to check the room- no one available.
They lovely receptionist came to the room and agreed it smelt really badly. How did this pass the housekeeping clean?
She had limited resources and sprayed the room very heavily with air freshener. We left and returned hours later to a smell of… urine. We ended up leaving at 645 as we couldn’t sleep/ breath due to the smell. No alternative room offered. Wouldn’t return and I would appreciate a return email due to this complaint.
Positives - The grounds are lovely and the lady at the bar made a great coffee.
