Interesting place to stay
We had never stayed in a pub before, so this was for experience. It was enough room for all 3 of us. The room was not fancy but was comfortable. The shower was very tight and I can imagine it would be difficult for bigger people. The complimentary breakfast was nice. However, we had one dinner at this place and was terrible. Another odd thing happened to us was one morning before 8 am, we heard some really loud continuous banging noise like in a construction site. The noise was coming right under our floor. I looked out the window and saw a truck were loading or unloading metal beer barrels. I guess beer is the bread and butter of a pub so they have to make sure beer is in stock. I thought if they could do the loading after 9am would be more reasonable.
Superb quality of service. Excellent food. Great value for money. Spacious accommodation. Fine pub with well kept ale and efficient bar staff and management.
We will be back for sure.
Only stayed the one night as down for the football, but it was still a great experience. Staff, especially the manager, were excellent, the breakfast was great and the location is ideal for both driving and the train station. Really lively pub atmosphere too, quite rare these days.

Nice breakfast, room was at top towards the back so quiet for a pub or hotel room. Staff were friendly and helpful. So good all round.
Have stayed here often, usually rooms above bar.
This time in an annex at the rear of the pub-- surprisingly
not quieter--- loud bangs, woken at 1.30 a.m., locks
rattling, and continued on and off all night. such a
shame as rooms are very clean and staff lovely.
Thought was very poor. Room not up to standard. No ensuite. Bathroom dated cold and floor wet. Across corridor. Doir sticks so had to bang - not good during night. No heat in towel rail so towels remain damp. Very grey looking towels- supposed to be white
Poor selection at breakfast
Generally a very poor experience. Not worth the price
Wonderful place with great food! Comfortable and clean room. Beautiful views and lovely surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be coming back.

It was a great place to stay for night while traveling. Clean, quiet, fresh and the staff were top notch. Great locals to visit with in the bar and great fish and chips in the pub. Highly recommend.
