No front desk, no service, no internet, no air conditioning, nothing work: TV, shower, spa, doors do not close, dangerous stairs, bed directly under roof, AND VERY EXPENSIVE.
NEVER AGAIN EXPEDIA!
No spa / sauna as stated in facility details. Room quite noisy during night, due to traffic right outside the window. Wifi not working firs evening, despite several calls first evening with promises of fix it swiftly, nothing was solved. Surprisingly No compensation, No cleaning on daily basis.
The staff was friendly enough when you saw them. They don't man the reception all of the time and the week I was there I only saw the staff a few times. I actually had to call when I arrived as there was no one there, it was raining, and I couldn't get into the hotel. Someone did arrive right away to open the door and check me in. I also found the housekeeper to be a bit aggressive, she never knocked before she tries to enter the room.
The hotel was clean and safe and there is a small village which is a minute walk which was nice for restaurants.
My biggest problem with the hotel was the internet connection. The signal is week and the speed is slow. At one point during my stay it was down for 2 days. As I was traveling for work, I needed to log in from the room but I was unable to due to the connection speed. Twice I had to take a taxi into the city to go to a Starbucks to work.
I would not recommend this hotel for a business traveler nor will I stay here again. Not having reliable internet is always a deal breaker for me.
The front desk gave me a good recommendation for dinner nearby of traditional German food for a good price. They gave me a ride to the airport the next morning. Would definitely stay there again.

Good for holiday travelers, but not for business
Clean cozy room and delicious German breakfast.
WIFI coverage was spotty in lobby and poor/non-existent in my room.
Very friendly staff - they tried to fix WIFI but likely will need to do upgrade of system to improve coverage and strength.

Good enough to stay if wifi doesn't matter
I often see complaints about wifi in a lot of other hotel reviews and I usually assume they are being overdramatic. I wish I didn't assume that with this hotel, because it was essentially non-existent (I spent hours trying to loaded a few web pages and get a few emails to send). Since I was there for work, I felt stranded without wifi. In fact, I intended to extend my stay to 2 nights, but needed to leave for another hotel... Very nice people running the hotel and good breakfast. It is fine if you don't expect to work in the evenings.
The Sauna was closed for a refurb, the restaurant was closed for some other reason, the only hot breakfast was eggs and they had run out by 08:00, the coffee was stewed and there was no service at all. All in all a poor experience and for 196 Euro.

Worth double the rate.
I was truly amazed at this boutique hotel. Located in a small town yet a short train ride from the fair in Stuttgart.
Overall a great stay and great owner/ operators.
The food wasn't better than expected and let them recommend a typical German beer. Youl love it. ) and I'm not a beer drinker:)

Eclectic & Friendly
Nice motel. Would stay again if the internet in the rooms was strong. Had to often sit outside the door. Would rate it a 5 all around if it didn't have the persistent, musty smell of old cigarette and carpets needing fresh air. Staff was excellent, friendly, helpful & kind. Nice to find a place that is unique and different from all the chains.

Two nights on business trip
Budget hotel. Great value in comparison to surrounding hotels.
Very tiny hotel with old rooms and not really comfy.
Bed are more than basic, TV is the smallest ever. Shower not really practical.
Owner is nice and friendly but not an hotel I would recommend to stay.
Close by the airport.
This was a good hotel if you are not too particular about having an upscale room. It met the need. The hotel management was it's best asset. The hotel was close to the airport, train station, and the Autobahn.
Fritizi's is understandably stumbled upon by most people unable to get into one of the hotels by the airport they find themselves at Fritzi's. I am sure that one stay will be enough to convince anyone to come back time and time again. Forget soulless expensive chain hotels. This is a fantastic experience, owned and run by Leyla (who runs front of house) and Fritz (who cooks a mean steak) you feel more like a house guest than a tourist. There is a friendly bar - with charming locals (Edmund and Jurgen were engaging and charming) great food and plenty of beer and schnapps. Leyla is an amazing host - she remembers everyone who has stayed and can't do enough for guests. One morning another guest and I needed to get to the Messe for a conference and no taxis were available - we were preparing to find alternative transport when Leyla offered to give us a lift. Great fun, great people, personal care and attention. There may not be a 100 rooms, or every conscience you expect from some of the chains but a five minute cab from Stuttgart airport will take you to one of the best boutique hotels I have ever stayed at. Thank you Leyla, Fritz, Leyla (barmaid), and of course Edmund, Jurgen and everyone else.
Spent one night on a business trip. Staff was welcoming and very friendly. The room I got was in good condition, situated under the roof. Bathroom had a 'massage' kind of shower. Two roof terrases were dedicated for the room. One was fitted with a whirlpool bath tub, whîe the othwr terrace encompassed a sauna and a beach hammock.
If you want character, extremely friendly staff, and something different then this hotel beats all the chains like Movenpick, Holiday Inn, IBIS, by miles!
Francamente TERRIBLE.
