Overall good but several quirks
Overall, this was a very nice house with everything we needed, but there were some things that would prevent us from renting this one again. First, the wifi was pretty useless. If you're planning on working there, you probably won't be able to.
There is a washer and dryer, but it's in a room under the house, which means walking outside and downstairs to run laundry, change loads, etc. Not a big deal, unless it starts raining while you're loading laundry...which it did on us.
We missed that there were no towels provided, something we're used to in vacation rentals. So we had to buy towels. Luckily someone else left towels before us. They weren't great, but they were fine for a week.
The doors wouldn't latch for us, which meant walking into the Master and having the doors wide open. We didn't even go in and out of this set at all. The main set of doors from the living room have blinds on them, which is nice, but the wind caught the door from us several times and the blinds kept falling down. The brackets that hold them weren't put up quite right, so they kept falling out of them.
This was supposed to be a no pets place, which is why we left our pup at home. But there was dog hair all over one of the comforters, so someone must have missed the memo.
In the bathroom in the Jack and Jill joining the two single bed rooms (not joining the bunk bed room), the plumbing would start randomly squealing this high pitched sound constantly unless you re-flushed it. Took us a while to figure that out.
All that said, the location was great and close to the beach. The deck was wonderful and the furniture was great. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed Holden Beach very much. And if you're into shelling, this is the place for you.
