Nice Room
It was a very clean and nice room with modern decor and comfortable beds. It also had a nice TV. The only disadvantage was no coffee maker. But, the service great, and I highly recommend it!

What a tremendously pleasant surprise
We needed to be in the area early the next morning and had to decide on staying at the Sussex Motel or a more well known brand name hotel that would be farther and more expensive. This is no dirty, dumpy, outdated motel you'd be disappointed about staying. It has been nicely remodeled, the service from the front desk was excellent and the price was great. Our family of 4 had only 1 very minor problem. The pillows were fluffy and nice but we tend to use flatter / skinny pillows and there wasn't any. But, I stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

The room was lovely and huge, newly renovated with a giant TV with streaming services. Bathroom was small but clean and great water pressure. Outside, though, the hotel looked very run down with little lighting at night.

Surprisingly nice for a roadside motel. Renovated and super cute, the only thing that bothered me was there was a smell in the room, but I am hyper sensitive to smell. I liked that there were little shampoos and soaps. I miss that in Airbnb's. All in all, if I am in the area again I will stay here. Great breakfast place down the road called Granny's

This is an older establishment that the owner updated the rooms. The rooms were very nice and they were clean with a touch of feeling like you were at home. I'd stay there again if I'm passing through.

I was a little skeptical pulling up. The outside of the motel is a little dated but I was very pleasantly surprised by the inside. The rooms were spacious, modern, and well decorated. I was blown away by how clean the room was. I felt so comfortable staying there, I absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay. It is a great value.

Outside was a little worry but inside was amazing and cozy and the owner is wonderful. I know the outside needs work but time and care was put in each room and it’s coming along. I love the concrete walls it was super quiet and a home feeling. I would love to stay here again

The Sussex Motel offers budget-friendly options for a quick stay in the area. While the exterior appears dated, don’t let that steer you away! All of the rooms have been updated and are clean and quaint. Jackie was exceptionally professional, accommodating, courteous, and kind! We had a great stay and would highly recommend.

Our Sussex Visit
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As women we appreciate the work put into the rooms. The only two things we noticed: the see through curtains make privacy difficult. You need to pin them closed. Second, the shower curtain sticks to you. A rounded rod would prevent this. Those are small issues. We would definitely refer others and stay again! Thanks to Jackie for always being on hand to answer questions as needed.

The outside of the motel is very rundown and in a depressed area. You must call someone to check in. But the inside of the room was very nice, with all updated features including a wonderful mattress, so the condition inside was great.
