I recently stayed at Sotetsu Taipei and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is impeccably clean, with spotless rooms and well-maintained common areas that made the stay incredibly comfortable. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work, ensuring every detail is perfect. Convenience is a major highlight of this hotel. Located in a central area, it's within walking distance to major attractions, shopping centers, and public transportation. The nearby MRT station makes exploring Taipei easy and efficient, while the walkable neighborhood is filled with great dining options and local shops. The hotel's staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed, offering helpful suggestions for places to visit and accommodating any requests with a smile. Overall, Sotetsu Taipei is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a clean, convenient, and friendly place to stay in the heart of Taipei. I would highly recommend it and will definitely return for future visits!

This is a new hotel, very spacious and clean. Love the separate shower room and toilet. The make up table & mirror with light is a plus. There’s no iron/board in the room but you can ask and they will deliver it to you. Close to MRT station, 7eleven and Ximending center (short walking distance). Highly recommended!

Right outside Ximen exit 2 but note that this exit has only stairs. Exit 3 which is less than 100m away has escalator but no elevator. Crossing of road (unsheltered) is required to access elevator. Room size is excellent! Love the separate toilet and bath area. Baby bathtub is available upon request. Some areas of improvement - no mattress for the baby cot so staff laid blanket on it. Not suitable for infants as it may lead to suffocation (ok for bigger infants and toddlers). No 24hour housekeeping. Check in before 3pm is impossible on days when they are full house (and it seems like they are full house most of the time) Otherwise, enjoyed our stay!

We stayed Sotetsu for few times already, excellent location! Brand new hotel with friendly staff, we discover the cafe downstairs is good too! Only one thing, this time the room is a bit stuffy, better have a carpet and ventilation cleaning plan.

The bedding is good and comfortable. Shower is walking-in and big enough for comfortable shower. It is located right at Ximen subway station. For improvement, they shower have facial tissue paper inside the bathroom. In general I would recommend his hotel.

This was the perfect hotel for my stay in Taipei. Located in a popular area right on top of a subway station entrance, this hotel is very well connected both by walking and by subway. The rooms are so spacious and are well cleaned.

Hotel is new, rooms have renovation smell. But they provided room refreshener. Booked a few rooms. The bigger suite (family room) is spacious, comes with a laundry machine and dryer. Superb overall!

Have some second thought over a Japanese chain
Originally was really looking forward to the stay given its newly open hotel and under a well known Japanese chain brand . My expectation on the service attention to the details and cleanliness high Location is perfect just right across Xiamen ding The decor room itself does live up to its picture in the website . It’s comfy and spacious and like the separated toilet and bathroom But I can’t say it’s a well service hotel given it’s pretty self serve from checking in to luggage storage ( although well assisted by the staff) honestly this was not expected for a five star The most disappointed part is surprisingly on the cleanliness. We found the glass in the room Sticky While throughout the night we could occasionally smell sewage and even heavy greasy Smokey smell in the morning time . Looks like a lot of different smell coming through the ventilation。 probably won’t choose to stay and recommend

Good location
This hotel is very near ximending and the metro so location wise is perfect. The staff there are very friendly and always ready to help. There is a bus stop nearby to take a direct bus to Jiufen ( remember not to trust the bus App arrival time, just go and wait) the breakfast is very good but only 4 options available. For those who are staying for more days, I suggest you do not book the breakfast everyday, there are many choices around. Those who like a good view, remember to request for ximending facing room as there are some room with frosted glass windows that are facing the Presidential building. price wise i think it's a bit steep but the location makes up for it.
