Stayed here to use as a base to explore a couple nearby cities. Ok in that regard, but there are probably better the facility is reasonably nice, however, no doormen or anyone to help with luggage Staff has very limited english skills. For a wine destination, the tasting was really limited...They have a shop adjacent to check in. We were told they had a "couple of bottles" open we could try. Was really interested in their whites. none were open. They opened one bottle for us, but it was rather warm and did not present well. The brochure advertised hourseback riding excursions, tours to area sites, and a gastronomy tour...when we asked about those, the front desk sort of shrugged her shoulders.
The restaurant situation was weird. They have a bar menu and bar area which is fine. the main dining room is spanish hours 11 to about 3, and then reopens for dinner 9-11. Just the way things are done in europe. What was really disappointing was the friday night, with reservations, the dining room was closed, and dinner was served in the adjacent breakfast area. Why??? On saturday, they had a huge party and mothers day to prepare for, so the bar menu was not available. Basically, you could get some olives or potato chips snacks with drinks, but nothing more to eat unless you a) wanted full dinner and b) could wait until 9.
Overall, I think they are starting up, and really focused on the spanish clientele rather than europe / international.
