If your want the hotel with reasonable prices and the central location, this hotel might suit you. But, this hotel looks more like youth hostel with private rooms rather than a hotel (definitely not a 3-star). It is lacking in many ways.
- Very noisy at night (because the hotel is located in the main street).
- Limited breakfast menu (also a limited space for breakfast)
- Limited amenities and out dated facilities in the room
- Disappointing level of cleanness (eg. every towel had a very strong smell of cigarettes, sewage smells in the toilet)
Great Value accomodation in heart of the main street in Tbilisi.
Hostel atmosphere with hotel style rooms.
room was clean and had basic amenities.. including gown and slippers etc.
bathroom (shared) was clean and fresh with good toiletries.
Main common area was big and relaxing.. breakfast was cooked to order. there was also a reading area. wifi was fast and free.
Loved Tbilisi - fascinating and buzzy city. Boombully has the best location right in the middle - we walked everywhere. Delicious cooked breakfast every day and great staff - all pleasant and helpful. An excellent choice of accommodation.
Situated on Rustaveli Ave, the central avenue in Tbilisi the hotel is within easy walking distance of two main metro stations including the one at Liberty Square. The hotel is bright and modern with friendly, helpful reception staff. Breakfast is made fresh every morning for 08:00 and I could help myself to coffee before that so convenient to breakfast and then get to tours starting at 09:00 - best breakfast I’ve had in a while at a hotel. There are a number of bus stops along the avenue outside for bus 37 to/from the airport.
The hotel is centrally located so easy to get everywhere. The front desk staff are all delightful with excellent English. Especial thanks to Netia (sp?) who went out of her way to help us book train tickets to Batumi.
we had just one day to spend in tbilisi , so this hotel was perfect for us .
really conviniet , and located on one of the main streets of the city
great staff ,gave us a earlier check in
beutiful design to the rooms
We had a double room which was clean and excellent value.
We booked on Hotels.com and received a free breakfast each day from the cafe nextdoor - a selection of options were available and you could take-away.
The hotel is perfectly situated in then centre of Tbilisi within walking distance of all the main sights. It’s only around 5 minutes from Rustaveli Metro station along the main room.
It is quiet noisy from traffic and other rooms, but this wasn’t a problem for us and we slept well.
The hotel is located on the main street in the old town. Our windows faced the main road but the insulation is good and we did not hear the traffic below.
The room was large and the four of us had lots of room for out luggage and ourselves.
Breakfast is offered at coffee shop downstairs. Everyone found a dish they liked.
When I return I will definely go to this hotel.
We had a great night at the hotel. The jacuzzie in the room was really nice. The breakfast was tasty and abundant. Staff was welcoming, spoke good english, suggested good places to eat and suggested good tourist destination.
Thanks
Great, small hotel with excellent, friendly English-speaking staff. Room was perfectly adequate for my short stay. The hotel has a relationship with the coffee shop next door for breakfast, which was very appetizing & substantial. Location is close to a variety of American and European clothing stores and about a 20 minute walk to the heart of old town & Bridge of Peace. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent location but can be a little noisy earlier in the evening, perfect excuse to stay out a little longer! Breakfast in the cafe next door is fine but you can telll that what they offer hotel customers is not their normal standard.
I had a good time in Boombully Hotel. Our room was always nice and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I will go to Boombully again next time.
I got a warm welcome when I arrived and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful the whole time I was there. The hostel feel may not be to everyone's taste but it makes for a homely atmosphere. The room was clean, had what I needed and was value for money. The breakfast is from the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf downstairs and was very good.
My only improvement areas are:
- the curtains are thin and don't close properly so the room is bright all the time
- The room wasn't done up one of the days and
- The walls are door allow sound through so the room was quite noisy, especially with creaking floors
I visited Tbilisi in December 2017 and stayed at another hotel for a few nights before travel to Gori and back to Tbilisi. I chose Hotel Boombully for my last night (single room with shared bath) on a recommendation from a friend. I wish I had stayed there the whole time I was in Tbilisi.
The location is unbeatable. It's on the main avenue (Rustaveli) immediately near the Modern Art Museum, Opera House, and many high end shops and restaurants. The airport bus lets you off right across the street and it's a pleasant walk from there to Old Tbilisi and other major sites.
The service at the hotel was what really impressed me the most. Lasha and the other staff greeted me warmly and offered excellent suggestions for site-seeing and dining. They also suggested a few hotel gyms in the area which I could pay to use for the day.
The room was very basic but clean and comfortable. The common areas were also clean and welcoming and the hotel is equipped with a full kitchen which is great for longer term stays. And there was always ample hot water in the shower.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff and location are top notch and you cannot beat the price. I will definitely be staying here on my next trip to Georgia!
I've stayed in backpacker hostels for years - mainly for the interaction with other travellers. I was looking for something that was a cross between a budget hotel and a clean hostel (something budget, but clean with not too many travellers), and I found it at Boombully.
The staff were SUPER friendly and helpful, rooms were very clean and comfortable - but the one downside that I have to mention is the noise. The hotel is directly on the busiest road in Tbilisi (which seemingly doubles as a race track at night) but with earplugs you'll be fine.
For the included breakfast - make sure you tell the people at the cafe downstairs you're in a rush - otherwise you'll be waiting 20-30 mins to receive your food.
Minor issue with room as we were put in the "jacuzzi suite" which is a normal room with a jacuzzi bath taking up half the space...so much so that the bathroom door doesn't open out. When staff realised we were put in the wrong room on day 2 We were asked if we could swap rooms by packing, leaving Luggage in a spare room whilst we did a day tour, then moving to the room we had actually booked (which had been sold and was occupied that morning) and unpacking again (only to the pack again to leave on day 4)!. I was annoyed that I had to refuse as this was unreasonable...at 10pm I felt this wasn't something I should have to deal with. We discovered also on last day the noise outside was due to a window in the room with a broken handle that wouldn't shut. Also asked for fresh towels and that didn't happen. Location of hotel is great and it was neat and tidy...but more of an upscale hostel than a hotel.
