About this property

Castle in Old Town, Paris Room

Welcome to the only privately owned historical Castle in Georgia. Once a fortress before the Mongol invasions, it was from the 16th century the residence of the Persian Shah Administrator for eastern Georgia. It also hosted a small nunnery for some time. During the Communist period, it was transformed into communal apartments for up to 110 individuals. It has returned to its former glory, and a limited number of its rooms are made available for some happy few, every year. We are happy to welcome you and hope you will enjoy your stay.
The bathroom has a bathtub.Conveniences include an iron/ironing board, and housekeeping is provided on a limited basis.
