An excellent place to stay
This is one of the best holiday apartments that we have stayed in. It is spacious, very comfortable and extremely well-equipped. The south-facing roof terrace, with its views towards the Bodetal, is a splendid area in which to sit for meals, an early-evening drink, or merely to relax and muse. Every possible need has been considered and met, and there is a very good set of information about the area, including maps.
Herr and Frau John are excellent hosts: helpful and informative, but not intrusive. The provision of bread rolls every morning was really useful, and they thoughtfully provided us with some information leaflets in English
The apartment is located within walking distance of the bus and train stations - travel on buses is free with the tourist pass - and also to the cable cars and the highly picturesque Bodetal. The attractive towns of Quedlinburg and Wernigerode are within an hour's travel by bus. Local supermarkets are 5 minutes away by car. Car parking is immediately opposite the apartment, and we stored our bikes securely in the yard.
We had a superb week here and have no hesitation in recommending it.
