The only Private Beachfront 2 story House Rental in Pixvae

Unique Find: The Only Private House Rental in Pixvae
Sonia's Place is the only private rental in the peaceful fishing village of Pixvae, barely on the tourist map. Expect white sand beaches, horseback traffic and a very authentic experience.

THE SPACE
At Sonia's Place the beach is your front yard. The building is brand new, and the living space is second story to capture a perfect coastal view and collect the ocean breezes. With two little bed rooms, 1 bathroom, and a kitchen expect a simple beach house. There is plenty of covered outdoor space to protect you from the mid-day sun, kayaks to use free of charge and a motor boat and captain on call.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have the whole home to themselves which is not available anywhere else in Pixvae. It's a wonder this little town has managed to stay off the beaten track.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
We are happy to offer you the unique opportunity to stay in Pixvae! Upon inquiry we will help you coordinate your transport to this almost secret location. Pixvae has managed to keep clear of the popular tourist route, but we assure you - its worth the effort! We will also give you an initial tour of the accommodation to make sure you understand the off grid components of the home for your comfort.
UPDATE : A new asphalt road has been completed so any vehicle can now reach Pixvae.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Sonia’s place is located in Pixvae, Veraguas Province, Panama.
Pixvae might be the most unique place in Panama. Not yet marked on the tourist map. As you descend to the Pacific coast from the lush Veraguean mountains, you will discover a glimmering turquoise gem - a dreamy little fishing village seemingly untouched by the outside world. The people here are incredibly kind, and cook the freshest of fish! The town has a handful of shops with limited supplies, so please grocery shop before you come. There are 2 restaurants and a bar, a soccer field, school, police station, clinic, and internet access in the park. Millie next door loves to cook for guests, and upon request we will arrange a boat tour for you to other white sand beaches and quiet islands.

BOAT BEACH TOURS
Boat tours on the neighboring beaches and snorkeling tours can be coordinated with us before you arrive. Rates are $99 per day. (Not included). We provide the Captain and the Snorkeling gear.

Make yourself comfortable in this vacation home, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony.

Sonia's Place
The property was as pictured, but the solar power was not sufficient. We only used the fans at night, but in the street side bedroom the batteries ran out after a couple of hours. The manager only spoke Spanish, so explaining the battery operation was difficult. Ants and insects quickly invaded even though we kept our food in the freezer. We felt the property was over priced for what we got. About Pixvae. Know that Pixvae is very hot! The breeze stops when the sun goes down, but the temperature does not cool off much. We found it very difficult to sleep with the heat, barking dogs, roosters and howler monkeys. The locals are friendly, but only speak Spanish, so if you don't, communicating will be difficult.

Vacation at Sonia´s House in Pixvae - Unforgettable & wonderful!
Place was clean and the house is new. Manager was there to help us and showed us around town and explained where we can eat. Agustina's place, Tina's pplace and the House of Millie is where we ate. Fish is fresh and delicious. We also cooked in the house. House has awesome views of the bay and a nice breeze. Few people live in the town which is very relaxed and safe, since most people know each other. We took the boat trip and saw the neighboring beaches of Moline and Juana beach and spend the day there. We snorkeled and saw many colorful fish. The sea was calm and has a nice light blue color, many people were bathing or taking dives from the neighboring pier that is public so everyone can enjoy it. We took a walk to see the river that is at the end of the town and it is very scenic. We saw birds and small howler monkeys up on the trees. Area reminded us something out of the "discovery channel". The Place is undiscovered and has a lot of tourist potential once they repair the road, We rented a 4x4 so it was easy to get there. Once you get to the town and meet the people you know it is worth it. Will never forget the sunsets on the beach in front of the house and the sunrises seen from our front balcony. We will definitely return next year. Billie, Peter and Martha.
