First time at Varscona
We had a pleasant stay at Varscona. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and accommodating, going out of their way to honor our request for a quiet room. A special shout-out to the team for their warm hospitality! The linens and towels were clean, and everything in the room was in good working order. While the hotel could benefit from some upgrades and a thorough deep cleaning, the attentive staff made our experience enjoyable. Thank you for a comfortable visit!

Nice older hotel in perfect spot to explore and enjoy Whyte ave. Quiet, hassle free service, with windows that open (versus many hotels with stale recycled air), with everything you need for a convenient stay.

Water pressure in the showers is disappointing. I understand to have eco-friendly shower heads, but the ones at Varscona are quite ridiculous. Otherwise, it is a quality hotel.

Area was great, close to everything and easy to get there by walking. Pictures were slightly deceiving as it looked more well kept and clean than it actually was. The staff was amazing and the restaurant connected was the best part, amazing food.

An historic building in the heart of town, but is in dire need of renovation. Our room was dated and in need of fresh wallpaper/paint, as were the hallways, which were musty, felt dirty.
