When we arrived, the reception was closed, so we had to collect our key from security at the entrance. The weather was cold, and we didn’t have access to the heater because the reception is responsible for providing the heater and TV remotes to guests. Security was kind enough to offer us one blanket when we needed two (for a two-bedroom unit).
Unfortunately, the room was not clean. There was a lot of hair on the floor, multiple used tooth floss picks near the TV stand, and dirty ear swabs near the toilet. Additionally, there was construction happening right outside our room, which was extremely noisy and inconvenient.
The next morning, when I went to the reception, I was asked for a $40 cash deposit. This was not mentioned anywhere in the Expedia listing or the reservation confirmation. Thankfully, I had cash with me, but if I hadn’t, I’m not sure how I would have handled the situation.
On a positive note, the reservation included complimentary breakfast, which was quite decent, and the ocean view from the room was lovely.
Overall, there were several issues that impacted our stay, and I hope these concerns are addressed for future guests.
