Disliked: Staff & service
This is a Mo-Mo, not a “Hotel”.
Parking sucked, you need to be there early to get a parking space, lot was full of cars that were from their hourly rooms. Parking lot had more cars than they had rooms due to their hourly rooms. Definitely not a family friendly “hotel”. This is what we call in the hood a Mo-Mo.
The property was clean, the parking lot was clean, the bathroom was clean, The staff were friendly and highly visible day and night.
The bad items were the carpet is difficult to clean and so inside the room smells linger, Access to the property is complicated, but not the business fault. On 03-02-2022 at 3:40 am I checked out from the motel and took Cucapah blvd. towards Tijuana airport. At 3:45 am I was stopped by a local police enforcement two officers. One officer politely took my California driver's license and vehicle registration, soon after the police officer called me out of the vehicle and said the tint was illegal that it had to be removed immediately and that a traffic citation was to be issued. He also asked the reasoning of being in such a dangerous area of Tijuana. I stayed at that motel for three nights and two days and drove all over Tijuana and spent money at many Tijuana Businesses. I was in a hurry and could not afford to loose a flight to Mexico City, so I payed off the officer $1000.00 pesos so I could go on do my life duties otherwise my car risked being impounded. Local law enforcement have to use common sense at implementing the law otherwise people like me will not go back and spend money at those Tijuana areas. Those $1000.00 pesos do not hurt me a bit, but the treatment is scary and might decide not to go and vacation again at this motel.
Pos: It is economic and so clean.
Neg: I told the cleaning staff not to come into my room and they ignored and went in to clean and when I asked for the invoice they told me I have to make a Wattsapp call after send for email the following documents:
My remmitance note, Hotel Name and room number, tax ID, digitized payment receipt, fiscal address & specify payment metod. I still don't know if I stayed at the White House or a economic $64.00 for two nights hotel !!
Not as close to Zona Norte as claimed. About 200-250 pesos to get there. If you do not speak Spanish, you will have a hard time communicating there as they do not speak English. Luckily for me the head housekeeper had a translator on her phone and was able to help me. She was very friendly and helpful. My phone did not work the instant I crossed the border. The phone in the room cannot make outside calls. Internet was my only communication option and the connection was good. Across the street was a supermarket, pizza place, fitness and Chinese food buffet. Macro15 shopping plaza is a 15 peso bus ride from hotel and is a modern shopping plaza. Overall nice and everyone I ran into was nice even though there was a communication brrier.
