The only complaint I have is my truck was damaged while parking the the parkade. I have a pickup truck, just stock with no lift kits or big tires but still struck the roof while going from the first to the second level.

The construction around the hotel is a bit of a nuisance but you can use the Pedway to get around to Scotia Square and the waterfront and the Casino. It's very convenient using the pedway

Older hotel in Halifax
Older hotel. Old Carpet in rooms and hallways. Old door locks. Small bathroom with old fixtures. 3 elevators with 1 broken during our 3 night stay. Did not get offered fresh towels and there was no cleaning done during stay. Connected to pedway for Casino. Paid extra for Harbour view but there was construction on Barrington so that was the view.

Stay was good except for having to insist on room service. Apparently you only get room service if you stay for 5 days. The hotel is dated and needs an uplift. There used to be Valet parking but that is gone. There is major construction around the hotel

The property was very difficult to get to due to construction. The hotel was average (which is fine for cleanliness). What was so dissapointing was the customer service at the desk particularly at checkout time. The room keys were taken from us, no offer of a receipt, no asking about our stay. The staff member then walked away from us to stand with a coworker who was trying to deal with guests she had waited on before. The family was saying they'd been overcharged when she waited on them. She saw I was still standing at the desk, walked over and said, "What? You're checked out, you can leave. Im left to assume she was frustrated from the other situation. But I have NEVER been treated so ignorant at a hotel. Niw Im still waiting for the deposit to be back on our credit card. Unsure if my checkout process was even completed properly. The room was left spotless. I even removed the sheets from the bed and folded the duvet offto the side to try and make things quicker for the cleaning staff and what was supposed tobe my funds back within a few hours has now been over 24 hours. UNACCEPTABLE. And I have no doubt the other guests beside me weren't wrong when they were speaking of their mistreatment either.
